The Irish can not manage money, no ore than a child can, so someone has to take responsibility. German taxpayers have been keeping this country afloat for decades. the only difference now that instead of a handout they give a loan and want to ensure this money is not squandered.

You're complaining about somebody with anti German rhetoric and then come out with a huge generalisation about Irish people. :D

Mad Men's Don Draper : What you call love was invented by guys like me, to sell nylons.

if the Irish people and government are so good at managing money why are we in this mess?
whatever happened to saving for a rainy day? we had money and the people demanded that it be spent to be spent. throw money around. now the party is over and we are left with a hangover.
in the good times we did not need the EU, but still took their money.

I never said the ALL the Irish people are good at managing their money, I also never said the Irish government are good at managing money.

I said I can manage my money perfectly well.

From your posts you seem to be blaming the whole mess on every Irish person.

A lot of people did not spend beyond their means and saved for their purchases. I, like many others did not spend what I didn't have.

You can't blame every Irish person for the wreckless spending and borrowing that was done by some.

For what it's worth I am pissed off too: I saved, invested and spent my money wisely and have always worked and paid taxes here, so I'm pissed that this budget fecks me up too.

    :)
