If you're going to do a FYP at least do it right. It's A disagreement, not AN disagreement:p

The accepted sentence structure here would be to use inverted commas instead of using caps lock mid-sentence.

Whatever about that, EPM ruined our hard work :(

I got up this morning all enthusiastic about giving the '8 a scrub. Got as far as changing the wipers, checking oil level, adding washer fluid and putting air in the tyres. After all that, I figured there's no point in actually cleaning the car till next March :D

Wrong!! Give it a wash and a proper wax to protect the paint for the winter ;)

I know, I know, but that was my justification for allowing myself a sitdown after a few minutes work  And we both know what happened last time I washed the car... :D

Wonder how long you spent making sure that there were no grammatical mistakes in that sentence... :D;)

So, the Zed failed the NCT last week because it was missing a wheel nut. It was worse than that, the wheel stud had become cross-threaded at some stage and somebody had elected to leave the nut off rather than fix it. I always meant to get to it, but never got around to it.

Changed it out this morning. Easier than I thought actually.

    - Wheel off
    - Brake Caliper off
    - Brake Disc off
    - Hammer stud out

I think it's just a visual inspection with the NCT crowd to get my cert.

Went out and started the alfa for the first time in over 2 months. Drove her around the estate for a bit, cleaned the rust off the brakes. I do miss driving her, to say she is leaps and bounds better than the KA is a understatement.

Ah, but the Ka got you thorough a rally! Can't see the Alfa getting you through a rally without a parts car driving alongside :D How did the rally go anyway?

Mind me asking which Alfa you have?

156 1.6 Tspark in mettalic green, fine car I really like her.

Ah right I drive a 2001 156 1.6 but in red with teledials. Just finished cleaning her and still cannot believe it's a 10 year old car!

Washed & waxed the car today. Polished the glass inside and out, detarred the alloys and buffed them.

Reinstalled my shark-fin aerial yet again only this time I used a lot of heat from a hairdryer on the roof beforehand. Then gave the foam tape 5 mins of heat to help it stick.

If it comes off again i'm going to send it to an aerial destination!

Got a quote to finish the paint job on my car...

Just now to pick out a colour!

I have one in mind, but I also have grey paint bought, lol. I'm going for the one in my mind, Nct first though.

I got my car washed today, at last :)

    Image1545.jpg

And then it refused to start and drained the battery. I did get it going again, with a little help...

    Oh dear...! ;)

Starting to think about a 147 as my next car. That or a Mk1 Focus 1.6

My '97 Laguna.....noticed a slight mis-fire a few time lately. Had replaced the coils with ones from a breakers a few years ago when it started stalling/lumpy revs.

So bit the bullet this time and ordered brand new genuine Renault coils. Price in Ireland was €68 plus vat each and I need two. Price including vat and postage from the UK for BOTH sets? £74! And they only took three days to get here.

While I was at it I put new HT leads on too. It definately has made a difference.

Today I treated my car to some lovin!

Gave her a proper wash for the first time in months, inside and out.

Then gave her an oil and filter change, out with the 7000 mile old black oil and in with golden 10w 40 Castrol Magnatec...

Oh and I even bought her an air freshener.
