Today I removed the auxiliary belt tensioner that I fitted on Thursday and refitted the old one because the one from the scrap yard rattled more than the old one.:mad::mad:

I handed my mechanic E170 to untangle the mess of burnt wires that was my wiring loom.
And I'm madly happy about it, it could just as well have caught fire and burnt the fcuking car out.

Found a dirty big crack in my rad.
Re-aimed the spots on hers and tried to re-attach a badly designed sidelight unit. Failed. Tec7 time ;)

Got my car scanned to see what was what, and now both sensors are failing. So there's a wire cut somewhere

Not what I wanted to hear with an NCT at 5:40 tomorrow.

    Busy day ahead.

Further to discovering the E39 had been in an incident (didn't think it was serious) - took it for a spin on Sunday.

It's fairly fooked as far as I am concerned. Steering is extremely heavy (not helped by the fact that the rears are on the front and one of the fronts on the back is also deflating). Something is squeaking/rattling and the car is wandering quite badly.

    Well pi55ed off

Looks like it was in a right smash but there's no panel damage that I can see. Must have taken a hit reasonably low down through the bumper and to one of the wheels.

Haven't had a chance to lift it yet.

It's going to Chris in Sandyford next weekend for assessment.

Bought a new aluminium radiator for it, to replace the leaky-but-patched-up original...

What about the E30 and Merc? Sold them on for a profit?

Oh, and I did something to my car today - got €400 back from the Revenue so I'm that much closer to giving the Corsa the finger!

I made about €150 off the Merc and I made a €200 loss on the E30. That's not including driving up and down to Donegal for the E30 and to Dublin and back for the Merc.

Anywho, so far I've managed to fix the passenger side ABS sensor (wiring) and got it cleared but the drivers side is still throwing a fault.

Now it's like a nut it rounded on the drivers wheel so I can't get that off. And I still have to get the lights aligned. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH

Sounds like you are having fun!

Lol, I realised just as I was aligning the lights that the light were lose at the bottom screws rather than the top! So bumper off, tighten the screws.

Got an ABS sensor and plugged it in, light stayed on, I moved the car and off it went :D

Pumped all the tyres, put in a wheel nut in gave it a quick clean inside...

Checked through my shopping list of fails and I'm fairly sure I hit them all, test is at 20 to so wish me luck :L

So the sensor was the culprit then

    Congrats on passing

No, actually. It was the wiring. I had a new sensor in the passenger side, and when i fixed the wiring on the passenger side the Handbrake light went off, but the abs light remained for drivers side.

    Confusing to say the least!

We lost the back bumper from the track car in the last race, it's repaired now but before it went on I made an addition
