Ah, that may pose a problem!

Aye, and I'd drive in to work to get it but considering it's just taken me 3.5hrs to get home on the train I think I'll give it a miss!

    Did you want it? :)

Just tested my consoles. I have no snes or N64 games but they seems to be powering up ok and getting a signal to the TV so it looks good for them

the MD is perfect, giving and absolutely perfect picture. The LED is blown in it though :P haha I have 100 in a bag so that was an easy fix. Looks like a few cheap consoles for Jack burtontumblr_lq8no5Aus11qhmty6o1_400.jpg

But I don't want to pay him €5000 to have lunch with him or Biffo! And McGuinness can blow up my house if he likes, so long as when he's in my gaf he gets sidetracked by my Candy Cab, boots up Blazing Star and forgets about the timer... :D

Dana's welcome though. I've some dishes that need washing and we use Fairy anyway so she'll feel right at home. :pac:

Time to get back on topic I think!

Got a Triwing screwdriver from rewind bits myself today.

Pure laziness as I know I have one in a box in the attic somewhere but just ordered a new one instead or getting the ladder out and rummaging around.

Is it just me or is the stock on Rewind Bits getting less and less?

I thought they used to have lots more stuff like replacement cases for most types of game boy etc.

I remember taking my A+ exams and recall the texts I used were the size of telephone directories. Best of luck with the exams, you'll be grand.

Just make sure you get text books that are relevant to the current exam codes as a shedload of it has changed since previous revisions. A lot of stuff about BNC's and outdated network configurations has been removed so it's irrelevant to learn it. That said it's useful to gloss over for a bit of networking history.

Don't get too caught up in trying to understand IP addressing/subnetting, that's geared toward the N+ although you'd still want to know about classful IP's, APIPA etc. Nothing too scary. A+ is more about the hardware really.

I've a triwing screwdriver too but I forget where it is... :o

I've had a great day retro games-wise today (plus the trains actually ran on time this evening, double jackpot!).

At lunch I took a stroll up to Forbidden Planet. First time I've actually been in the Dublin branch and I was rather overwhelmed with all the manga goodies and odds and sods lining the shelves.

I went in specifically to find bags and backing boards for my Shooting Gameside magazines (volume 3 is in the post to me as I type this) and ended up finding some I can trim the backings to size and wrap the cello around the magazines to fit.

While in there, I noticed they had a buy 2 get 1 free offer on manga books so I picked up three handy little guides, all mispriced and not part of the 3 for 2 offer. Your man in there was very good though and gave them to me as part of the offer anyways. Sadly no Shooting Game Historica models in there but I have my eye on a Gundam model in there!

Walked out of there with this mini haul. Time to break out my Clairefontaine's and my Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch! :D

Next up, this little lot arrived from Japan:

    1. Super Bomberman [Super Famicom, NTSC-J, CIB, RC-OCD]
    OUj1K.jpg

    2. Super Bomberman: Panic Bomber W [Super Famicom, NTSC-J, BNIB]
    oqFIt.jpg

    3. Snatcher [PC Engine, NTSC-J, CIB, RC-OCD, included a mint sticker sheet and original receipt!]
    W6EOa.jpg

    4. Policenauts [Playstation, NTSC-J, CIB, RC-OCD, includes a mint weird paper promo!]
    Pr9LD.jpg

    5. Le Mans 24 Hours [Dreamcast, NTSC-J, CIB, RC-OCD, SC-OCD]
    2pEmt.jpg

Also brought all my Virtual Boy stuff home so going to fire that up shortly and hope it all works OK! :)

Which it does not. The console is dead to the world. Sending it back. What a day dampener. :(

Cheers mate. I will. I thought I had already.

First properly awful online shopping experience I've had. What a shame. The karma will come back to him though as if he folded that box up to shove in a parcel to me, he's ruined a mint box so he'll get nowhere near what I paid for it (before I found out I was mis-sold) when/if he tries to flip it.

Gutted. But I will get my money back and buy another one. I was dying to play Vertical Force tonight too. :(

I hear Retr0 doesn't use his much at all these days...not since Keithgeo sorted him out with a Pillow Pets contract

Unfortunately yes. I had a broken DVDO Edge sent to me recently and I had to pay to send it back under the PayPal ruling. So much for buyer protection.

I'll just use Citypost or Parcel2Go. Lots cheaper than An Post.

Super annoyed though. I bought the tap and 3 games for it in advance. Sat there doing nothing now. Never mind, I'll find another one another day. :)

I'd be leaving him some pretty damning feedback in this case

Maybe I'm being overly kind, but I'd probably be leaving neutral feedback, on the basis I get a refund. If he becomes a bell end about it it'll be negative.

Some people on eBay can be absolute plebs. One guy I sold a PS2 game to left me neutral feedback which just said 'Thanks.' and that was it. I did nothing wrong, I sent him a cello-wrapped PS2 game on time and in great nick!

Asked for a feedback revision and got told to 'do one'.

Seriously, some people never cease to amaze me...

You were clearly misled on the description, no inner packaging as was stated, the eye piece is broke, its not complete, & the box was wrecked. To top all that off your out of pocket to return it to him? Coupled with the waste of time it'd more than warrant neg feedback from me

Edit - Oh & yeah, the Virtual Boy doesn't actually work!

Embrace the anger Pyongyang, leave him bad feedback.

    It'll feel good :)

He claims the console worked before he sent it and that I'm doing something wrong. But anyways, it's sorted. I have his postal address and he's agreed to a refund so we'll leave it at that and see what happens. :)

That grandia map is cloth aswell, very cool little thing

Now I need to get my hands on a Jap Saturn

And as a kind of justice I paid 20 for shipping on this and when I got it the stickers on the box all Read "€30.50" so 10.50 off the shipping. Take that ebay seller!
