For liveonlinefooty, if you have an acount with them, all you need to do is go to the following address in your iPad and log in:

    liveonlinefooty.com/iphone

Ya i have an account alright and i know the /iphone thing but that only gives you 2-3 channels, what i want is the entire channel list available through xbmc on the ipad.
It is possible to do,I just dont know the exact steps for installing it.

It's all happening here today! The guardian iPad app just gone live in newsstand. Free for the next 87 issues.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,719 ✭✭✭✭Earthhorse

Might check that out since I no longer read The Sunday Times.

Does anyone know how much free space you need on your device to install an app relative to the app's size? I have around a gig free but it still won't install Dead Space which is only 439MB. Plus it's just the update. I thought it might have to have twice the space free but even that seems generous. Anyone any ideas?

Is the latest version of Pulse broken for anyone? When I click on the cog to change pages it just dies. Can't find anything online about this bug.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,859 ✭✭✭Doodah7

Just checked it and works fine. In fact there must have been an update at some stage as it is much slickers than I remember.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,719 ✭✭✭✭Earthhorse

I actually found it logged as a bug on their website after posting that: http://getsatisfaction.com/pulsenews/topics/bug_in_ios5_on_ipad_does_not_show_tabs

    Are you on iOS5, tallpaul?

This maybe common knowledge but it was new to me so thought I'd share.

I jailbroke my iPad to use xmbc ,one of the perks of which is access to a particular popular plugin (name starts with Ice,google or pm if you don't know) used to stream tv and movie content. Of COURSE I only stream non copyright material from there and only advocate streaming non copyright content and completely ignoring all the films and tv shows available. I've discovered you don't need to jailbreak to stream from this site however, all you need is OPlayer,an app available from the app store.

When you open oplayer you click on the web browser link.
Type in the address of the site in question (it starts with ice).
Click on the content you want to view.
Double click the first megavideo link that appears.
On the next page click the " proceed to megavideo" link.
Then you're taken to the usual megavideo page where you are given the option to use your premium megavideo account or to wait 45 seconds for free access.
I wait for free access. Once the 45 secs has elapsed just click the "download now" link and you're given an option to download or watch file. Click watch file and it loads and works perfectly for most links.

Occasionally the sound doesn't work on a video but the same happens on xmbc I've found. Also sometimes you get an ad that loads before your video and you have to start the process over but it seems to work fine on second load.

Anyone know of other sites this works on?

Got AVPlayerHD for ipad 2 and it plays 720p .mkv files perfectly.

Apparently they optimised it for the ipad 2, and only 2.39c.

    Hey,

Not sure if it was mentioned here already (no search results), found a great music app for the iPad (it's free also!):

    Shuffler.fm

    Check it out ;)

Think it's called "Filmon plus" now too, updated mine last night with a free update. So far so good.

When you say fully functional is it again playing via 3g or is it still only playing when its connected to wifi?

The latter, as was the case before.

GTA 3 now on IPAD for 3.99

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,400 ✭✭✭✭r3nu4l

GTA is £2.99 on the UK store for anyone using that. I'm not yet convinced that the iPad is good for anything beyond casual gaming though...

Having trouble getting this to work. When I try to download a link to watch later, or stream, all I seem to get is a 4 minute advert/jingle from the hosting website. I'm using Oplayer Lite as opposed to the full price app, though that shouldn't make a difference should it?
