You sure on that? Thought the Sky Go app was "free" for Sky subscribers.

I presume he means the Sky News app. It went subscription based to non Sky customers at 2pm yesterday

I sent this email on Friday:

Tell the "Genius(s)" that decided to start charging a monthly subscription (I'm in stitches here) for sky's iPad app that they have made a huge corporate mistake when I can just watch the stream video for free or just turn on my tv (which I don't pay a subscription for either).

Honestly what nutters in your offices think that anyone would pay €5.49 a MONTH for repeat videos of libyan rebels or Dermott what's his face! Please cop on and start living in the real world - honest advice put it back to the way it was, stick in a couple of adds - bobs yer' uncle. Tell the money hungry clown in the suit in the top office, yea the one with the fancy swivel chair to write his own P45 if he doesn't change it back.... Young'ns these days.

    All the best now

    Sent from my iPad (whoohooo)

Filmon has now a free app. Best tv app ever.

Seems the free service is over. Just tried on their site and you get 3 minutes.

Download the app, don't use it on your browser and it still works.

If you use the FaceFoward tweak on Cydia do not update the Facebook app

Download the Sky News app for the iphone, if you have jail broken your ipad download "fullforce" tweak from cydia. In settings go to full force and turn "on" for sky news

This will make the Sky news app for the iphone full screen on your iPad.

Nice tweak for all iphone apps unavailable for teh iPad

There's a new NBC app that features full episodes of all their shows. Amazingly enough it's not geolocked to the US so no need for a proxy!

I've tried it and it seems very good. I had no issue with buffering etc and it was much better than the abc app.NBC is one of the few sites that won't work on the app iswifter so it's good to have the NBC app.

Great call on this one, saw the launch announcement but hadn't even had a look as assumed it'd be geo locked and not in Irish app store. US Office looks good on it.

Still there? I can't find it searching on my iPad... Looking in Irish store from UK IP address (Irish account).

It looks like it's down from the store. It was probably a mistake on Apple's part. Still works ok if you already have it.

I noticedit was showing I the app store chart yesterday (#3 in free section) but is not showing now nor is it showing up on a search.

I installed it last week and just opened it, still working fine.
Maybe log in with an American account and see if available there.

I dont see it but it's still working fine, better get the last few episodes of season 7 of the office watched before they geo lock it too! Pity if it goes that way just as new season of shows launch.

...and it's now geolocked. Managed to catch up on The Office though, but not 30Rock. :(

Yep, caught up on end of series 7 that had missed on 3E but disappointed it's gone just before the start of series 8. Ah well.
