Like I have said repeatedly, I did check, I was advised by Elara it would work on a Mac, so I bought it in good faith.

This is the product they recommended that I buy for my Mac

What version of MAC? Elara says it supports Apple MacOS X 10.3 - 10.5 and there is a driver for 10.6 on the ASUS site.

Also, does it detect any device when you plug it in? Is there a MAC equal of device manager that detects stuff when you plug in any device, and if so, what comes up when the device is plugged in? This may help me troubleshoot the problem.

    Hi, it's Mac OS 10.3.9

When I go to run WPS I get the message "No PBC AP available" and then "WPS Eap process failed".

    any help greatly appreciated!

Did you press the WPS button on your router, or does your router have a WPS button?

My experiences with Elara have been all good tbh. I'd say I've bought around €1000 worth of stuff in the last few years and never had any problems. Easy to deal with, decent prices and fast delivery.

Have you called Asus and gone through the trouble shooting yet?

When you pressed the button, and you then started the WPS wizard, the error then came up? It looks like the adapter is not seeing the router. Could you ensure that they are right next to each other, to ensure maximum chances of it working, please?

Bought twice off them recently. They have good prices but the delivery was loooong. Ignore the estimated dates. Both times it took a minimum of a week after dispatch.

sorry, I don't mean to sound dumb, but when you say router do you mean the UPC box? The problem is it's in my living room and my Mac is a few rooms away...

and another silly question - do they need to be beside each other? I thought as it's wireless the USB adapter and the UPC box can be in separate rooms. thanks in advance.

Yes, but as you're having problems, it's advisable to have them next to each other, to see if they connect. If they're next to each other and can't connect, possible hardware problem. If far away, and can't connect, could be something in between. For troubleshooting, have them next to each other.

I just called them. They don't do any tech support for USB adapters either by phone or on live chat, but hey told me to return it to Elara and you would give me a refund or another adapter.

I have just received an email from the company's online support and will try the measures they suggested, but if that doesn't work I will have to return it to you and hopefully you will be able to refund it for me.

    Thanks

Yes, just fill in the returns form in your account menu and forward the support email to returns at elara.ie and we will process that for a refund.

3010: please try the troubleshooting steps that I asked first, as to allow you to see if you need something that is more compatible with your router/Mac/etc.

Elara just don't want the hassle. Anything more complex than plugging in a mobile phone is just too much for some of the brighter moaners.
