What I and the millions (AND MILLIONS) of Irish Indy Wrestling want to know is if this will be discussed on WWR?

No because we support American wrestling and therfore are not true wrestling fans. However I am sure they would've had no problem discussing this if every single poster here attended a wrestling school that had no merit before its closure Duh! :p

More people appear to be done with DCW today judging by the high number of posts saying "I'm finished with DCW after last night" on my Facebook feed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 234 ✭✭Justin Ternet

Never a dull moment on the old Irish Wrestling Scene. Might have some popcorn and just watch facebook for the night. The booker for DCW is a drunken clown. Im delighted for him. I feel sorry for the lads who work there but thats the bed they climbed into. All I know is there is some serious moistness on the ass of mainstage wrestling with all the kissing up being done today.

Never a dull moment on the old Irish Wrestling Scene.

I don't wish to stoke the fire but I'd love to see a Rise & Fall of DCW shoot video. It'd be epic. I've no idea about the irish wrestling scene and all the backstage goings on. Reckon it could be the next King of Kong!

Think you're more likely to see a Failblog entry than that.

So Marc Savage and Danny Deans say they were quitting DCW .. only a few hours later Marc Savage is now running DCW? ... wtf?

I was suprised to hear about Danny Deans leaving. It seemed he was kept in high regard in DCW. Sure, he even didnt leave with the first bunch of lads a while back.

Im sure the other promotions are ****ing over this latest DCW news.

Well the dude is rumored too have really made a few stabs at deans family so I don't blame him.

The upside to this, people realising Danny Deans can't work **** and we never see him in a ring again.
    Harsh,but my opinion.
    Now, time for cans!

Aye. That scheming langer must be behind this. And he would've gotten away with it too if it wasn't for them no-good legalities.

Farewell to DCW and Goodbye to man of many names some of which include "Dave Anchorking", "Dave Anchorman", "Dave Power" and "The Voice David Long". He should have remained as the cute ring announcer.

I'll be in Dublin next Saturday, could anybody please tell me whether it's worth stopping over at the DCW for the event or is the entire thing off ? Will there ever be an event taking place there in the foreseeable future? Or is DCW gone for good ? It would be a waste of time and money to go there to no avail, so any fair-mined reply will be highly appreciated.

    Cheers !

While its being said that the DCW show is cancelled on Saturday, I can recommend an alternative. Main Stage Wrestling are holding a show just minutes from where the DCW was scheduled to be held. It's a fundraiser for their training school so tickets are only €5.
The address is: ST MICHAELS PARISH COMMUNITY CENTRE, INCHICORE, D.8 and showtime is 7pm.

I'd be delighted to join their event, unfortunately my schedule in Dublin is rather packed ... I planned to break away from another appointment to meet someone at DCW, unfortunately this bloke is lost since a couple of days already and neither answers his phone nor does he reply to mails.

It's a bit strange, so I think I'll simply nix the date.

Anyway, thanks for your reply. I apprechiate it !

From what I have heard from anonymous friends in the business

DCW was having issues because the owner accused someone of being a homophobe. With that a good heap of the roster left and the foundations began to fall apart.

Fast forward to last week. There was some DCW party on and the owner suppodsley got really drunk, tore into danny deans family and a few other people and this resulted in everyone including his business partner leaving.

TL;DR Saw this coming when the place first started up
