Is there a missing link or am I just not seeing it?
There is no link, just a picture.

Oh, I was on the work computer and the little image thing didn't show up.

And now I'm gunna be really awkward and say that both the picture and the link bring me to a strange site that doesn't have any dresses on it :o

    Yup that's a dead link I'm afraid!

Hmm strange, it works for me :/

I've uploaded the picture to imagshack, hopefully it works now :)

Can I ask peoples' opinions on this River Island dress please?

Is it suitable for a 20 year old? Or is it too grown up? I really like the dress, but I don't want to look older than I am.

    Thank you!

If you like it and it looks good on you, get it, don't worry about other peoples judgement. My advice if I'm not sure, I don't buy it.

Thank you, I do like it, but as I said, I don't want to dress and end up looking older than I am, which is why I asked whether it is suitable for a 20yo or would I end up looking older.

Well if you're not sure, then I personally wouldn't get it. You might regret it.

That dress is beautiful! I want it!

I'm a bit older than 20... I'm 26. It's probably too "old" for a night out with the girls but for going to dinner or just wearing during the day I think it would be okay for you. I think it depends on your own style, if you can accessorise it to make it a bit younger than yeah, go for it. I would probably wear a dress like that to work or dinner with the girls. The top part is a teeny bit conservative but the bottom half is short enough to be young if you know what I mean. Hope I'm making sense! :pac:

In my opinion I don't think it's too old for a night out with the girls! It's a short dress in a nice bold red. Once you're a young girl wearing it with your own personality and confidence it wouldn't look 'old' at all! :D

Hehe, sorry, by night out I meant like clubbing! Which I don't do so don't really know what people wear to that! But for dinner/drinks or even daywear it is a great dress. Just accessorise to suit the occasion! :)

Was out about Galway today and had a look at what was around in the way of graduation dresses, and absolutely fell in love with this beauty in Oasis:

I have these Irregular Choice shoes that I think will look cool with it:

My only dilemma is, my graduation is in October, and I don't want to buy the dress yet as I'm on a diet (which is going quite successfully) and I don't know what size I'll need, but I don't want the dress to go out of stock before I can snap it up! Eek, any advice?

I'd buy it in whatever size fits you now and you can get it taken in closer to the date of your graduation. Beautiful dress by the way. :)

I agree with fonpokno. It's gorgeous and would look so good with those beautiful shoes. I got my graduation dress in Oasis too. It's a similar shape. I love the colours!

They are the first pair of irregular choice shoes that I actually like. Very nice. :)

That dress I posted that I wanted, is not available anywhere except in a size 8 or 10. Noooooooooooooo!

I thought the dress was cute too. Why were you getting strange looks SD? The outfit looked great!

It was a bit of a conservative dinner. Neither family had met. My sister in law thought my mother would have a fit when she saw it....but after dinner my very fashion conscious niece (11) said that I looked lovely! She's my go to woman for fashion! :)

Yeah some people see leopard print, doesn't matter in what form, and think "Ooh!! Bit out there!".

I'm wearing a blue and green dress with pink heels to my godson's christening on Saturday, it looks fab, the colour blocking works really well with the style and colours, and most of all my mother ok'd it (although she has great sense of style) but even so I had a bit of a nerve wobble last night and thought "hmm, should I wear it?". I know my family will love it because they expect bright colours from me! But I think the other side of my godson's family will be a bit  at it, the girls on that side tend to be quite snarky and jealous, so they'll probably hate that I had the nerve to wear it, more than actually hating the outfit.

Well if they are green with envy the pictures will look really well with your lovely green dress! :p I don't see why you shouldn't wear it! :) They are just jealous that they wouldn't be able to wear it!

Haha I wore what I had on at the beers (minus the hat!) to my godson's communion! I was determined to be the bet dressed godmother at the occasion :pac:

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,729 ✭✭✭Acoshla

Yeah my mother was like "Wear it to feck, even if just to annoy the ones that couldn't/wouldn't wear it!" :D I have a great weekend of outfits planned, two big family occasions, wearing a pretty 50's style floral dress for a family meal, I've worn it a ton of times since I got it a few weeks ago but any excuse! And I have to fit in my polka dot heels somewhere too... :P

Oh you simply must! Those shoes are amazing!

I spotted a gorgeous pair of ankle boots for the winter in Geox of all places! They're pretty expensive though! If I have money at the end of the month I think I'll splash out. I was supposed to go shopping today but my pay cheque hasn't cleared yet, noooo!

@squeakyduck - the blazer you're wearing in the WDYWT thread, is that a recent purchase? I've been looking for a blazer like that for ages!

I got it back in June. In that shop Stradivarius in the jervis SC. It cost me about 30e.
