Touch boards acting fruity on mango. When I press reply it hits the flag button :S

MMS is still not working. One of the solutions I've read is to reset the phone but I don't think that will help us. I'm wondering is this just a 3 problem or does this happen with O2 etc..?

I actually didn't see your post but thats what we've been trying. I've selected the 3IR option for 3 ireland but it does not work. At least we know it does work and I think it may have something to do with Vodafone branding.

These phone are in fact Vodafone branded mobiles with a Vodafone rom installed on them. You cannot unbrand them by changing a few settings in the registry you need to flash the Open EU LG optimus 7 rom onto the phone to do this. I think by doing this it will fix our (3 user's) problems.

I've already set my phone up for Mango and don't want to go through all the setup again as I'm not that bothered with MMS. When the full released version of Mango comes out I will be switching to the Open EU rom.

One thing I have noticed about Windows phone 7, is the sheer lack of free games... I noticed that a lot of games are €1.99-4.99 but these games are free on android/app store. Will windows charge for EVERY game because of pointless achievements?

There were loads of free games the last time I checked. Are you sure you're looking in the right section?

There's nothing to stop the companies like Rivo (Angry Birds) releasing it for free. They chose to release it under xbox live so there's a charge for that. Maybe they'll release one that doesn't link to xbox live for free.

There are plenty of free games. Check out Shiruken Ninja and Penguin. I play those two games much more than any of my XBL ones.

last time I checked alot of games weren't even available on normal android market. On my gf's desire in android market U can't really get any decent HD games. Most of them are specifically made for sgs and sgs2 via samsungs marketplace or other tons of marketplace. So I consider this to be better

either way most of the games actually work and their HQ vs some are horrible on android. The only game I'm missing now is rope cut

I imagine most game prices will drop once more users come on board. Also if U catch weekly Wednesday sales its ok

check wp7 game websites cause sometimes devs drop the price of offer it free for a day

I've got tons of indie games for free that way and some well discounted

I've 30+ games

Nah works pretty good. A bit choppy at the start but works grand after it loads the weather.

I've never used podcasts so know nothing about how they work, is there a way for the phone to get them automatically or do I have to download them and sync the phone? I'm looking to see if there's a way to get Joe Rogan podcasts onto my phone without me having to go to the site, download them and then sync my phone.

Unless your running mango and your region is set to USA, you'll have to download them and sync them to the phone. In Zune, go to Podcasts and select "Add Podcast". You can then add the link. In the case of your Joe Rogan podcast, the link is http://blog.joerogan.net/archives/category/the-joe-rogan-podcast/feed

Any leads on where to source a 2nd omnia 7 charger or a car charger? Judging by my search for a case, accessories are in short enough supply.

Need an actual shop, in Dublin. Herself left her charger in work and we're going on holidays on monday, if I could pop into a shop and pick up a charger it'd be easier than her trying to get into the office to retrieve...

Just go to any shop and ask for a MicroUSB charger, all WP7 devices use the same port.

Really?? Is that all it is? That's brilliant.

As an aside, it feels awfully flimsy - the charger connection, and very easily shoved in the wrong way... which is never well received:pac:

Yeah i found the same thing about it. Always need to look at it before putting it in the right way

Though as said before. All smartphones (except iPhone [ iPhoen doesnt want to be a smartphone]) are charged via Micro USB charger

So you can go into any shop and get one

I don't get why Mango hasn't been released yet? I presume its just being delayed so that it can be released in conjunction with Nokia's new WP7 lineup in September/October. Speaking of which does anyone think these will be available in Ireland this year? I would imagine it will most likely be 2012 before we see them?

Mango is not finished yet, the version out now is just a beta version. Who knows what other goodies maybe in the final version.

There will be a Nokia Phone released this year maybe even 2. I don't think anyone knows which countries will get them first??

It's looking like September but if I was to put money down I'd be going for October. I can't find any odds anywhere!

EDIT: I should have said thats for those users who aren't lock to a mobile carrier. With O2, 3 and Meteor they have to do their testing before they release it so it would be probably December for them.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is October 26th to coincide with the Annual Nokia conference where they will unveil the first Nokia smartphones as well

Mango isn't out yet? You must be talking about the beta version released for developers, remember its a beta version with not all the features available yet.

you can. Didn't try it yet

but it has to be specific size length and format. Mp3 or wav up to 36 secs I think and max size of 1mb and album name has to be ringtones. I think I was reading that somewhere. But as said its beta which means its not final. Its still in development. Even beta doesn't have the full features of mango. So its not finalized yet.

If your itching to get ringtones and mango there are plenty of easy way to do it

mango doesn't even require to have a jailbroken phone.

RIngtones are simple enough

its just drag and drop to a programme if you have dev unlocked your phone

What's going to happen with Google+ and WP7? Anything?

Personally, I prefer G+ to facebook already, and I plan on dropping facebook asap, but I can't find anything relating to WP and G+. If anyone could shed some light on this, I'd be much obliged.

There will be no integration. We'll be lucky if we get an app.

Google are going to peddle Android as "The only true Google+ experience". Or so I'd guess, it'd be a pretty smart move.
