    Absolutley convinced. :)

I'd say he could get close to 30 if he keeps fit.

    Let's get the one first!!

    Tiger's gone.

Rory's a far better player than Tiger was at this stage.

You'd think people would have learned from the last year let alone anything before that, that anything can happen (D Johnson last year (US and PGA!), Watney and Rory to mention 3 names). It's like people are trying to jinx him with some of the ludicrous and OTT comments being spouted.... again -_-

Quite exceptional stuff from McIlroy, consistent brilliance in both rounds.

At the very least I reckon he'll be sitting on around a 4/5 shot lead tonight if he closes out this round steady. Yang would be the obvious pick to go low and close the gap.

    Another par to stay -11

I said IF he wins this.

Which I think he will. He could go on a roll. Plus he's only 22.

Looked like a wedge that pitched 20ft over the flag, paused on the back edge of the green and trickled slowly back to the hole and died in.

Yea seen it replayed, went about 20 feet past the pin and spun back to roll down the green into the hole!

Puts this and this is nearly over. Providing there's no one later shoots 65+, he has this in the bag. He wont screw it up twice surely.

I can see no one scoring better than -5 throughout the hole tournament. So he has to drop 7 or so shots. Na not happening, surely not anyway. Bookies have him at 1/4, I think they know.

Ahhhhh how did that not drop!!! Meh -12...still take that!!

9 shots ahead. I know most of the field still have to play but that makes amazing reading. What a performance.

This is just wonderful. We could have four golfers from the island of Ireland going into the weekend. I just remember a few years back watching the sports news on RTE, all we had was "..and best of the Irish was.." way down the field. Brilliant stuff altogether.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Just in from my round of golf to see Rory is 9 ahead  he is obviously playing on a different level to the rest of the field. Long way to go yet so lets hope he keeps this golf up.
