Focus is off for some reason, but my first deer in the wild!

Heron, and not a Buzzard like I had hoped!

Saw, and heard, a pair of Starlings across the road form me this evening. Nesting under the eaves.

Found this up the back garden this evening. Pretty out in the open, couldn't see any nests above in the trees, and don't think there's anything in the hedge.

This is it beside a 50c piece.

Don't they ditch the shell far from the nest?

Don't they ditch the shell far from the nest?
I thought they usually ate them? Or is that only some species? Could also have been the victim of a Magpie...

Think it's a red legged Partridge.

Was walking down the road this morning.

Its a bit fuzzy as the camera was on full zoom ,

Not easy to get close to these to try and get a half decent shot, they are flighty and fast moving.

This lad didn't look in tip-top shape.

I'm presuming these are Sandmartins again? Loads of them skimming along the river.
