how are you getting on with the collection, hope you gave them games a good home:pac:

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 520 ✭✭✭batari

All is good with my lot man, have a good collection of unboxed games now, up to 205, not including label variants, and a humble sealed collection of 9. Although I'm about three months in to waiting for a lot of six sealed games due in from Venezuela, including a copy of Motorodeo that used to go for $100+ before the Venezuelan haul was found!
Threw the few doubles I got from you that were going nowhere up on ePay, hope ya don't mind, not garnering a lot of bidding even at €1, but the few that sell are helping me buy a few more titles.

How's the GC collection coming along?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 138 ✭✭DickyC

not too bad still looking for twin snakes, fire emblem. i have a mint copy of twilight princess and other gc doubles i may put up on the trading section and see what happens along with some megadrive stuff. i'm getting a bit of a urge to rebuild a boxed snes/famicom selection after picking up super metroid off adverts, but it's hard to find them boxed in good shape.

Got myself another NES today, a backup NES.. you never can have enough NESi. Two controllers, 4 games, Turtles, Mario, etc etc.

I'm banking on a Super Mario Allstars style remake with the aforementioned 3D backgrounds, maybe better sprite animation....
Could be the bees knees boys and girls..

Picked up that Boxed Atari Jaguar from Steve SI on Saturday. I've never played a Jag before and so far it's more impressive than I thought it would be.

It really really REALLY needs an RGB cable though. All I have is Rf at the moment and I can just about see the picture. Seems like the must expensive RGB cable in the world too..although I'm pretty sure that's because it has some odd unique looking connection.

Same here, I'm continuing to shop around but the genuine cable really seems like th eonly option. I wonder if we'd get a discount for a double order? :p

Couldn't you build a RGB cable?
The port should be well mapped, no?
    Save a fortune.

If you come across a source of them going cheap, by all means let me know! :D

I think it's going to end up coming to about €30 or so. Madness, but it needs to be done.

If Console goods (Rob) said its a pig of a job & won't be making anymore, I'm not even gonna go there. There must be more to it then straight forward wiring. For all the faffing about, buying up parts etc...you'd be just as well off buying the proper one. A lot of places say 3rd party ones are junk anyway & don't work properly...so its possible there's small amp circuits etc in the scart head.

As I said before be careful with the 3rd party Jag RGB cables.
They may say on the auction/store that it's RGB and it might even say it on the box when you get it thats it's RGB but I've been stung a few times and ended up just going for the official cable, that was RGB :)

I'll definitely be keeping my eye out alright. It would really be crushing to spend that much on a cable only to find it's not really RGB.

Just bought myself a cart only version of Jag Raiden.

    And so it begins...!
