Well, its the followup to Wonderboy III, and that I also have.
Looks like fun, it'd be cool to find a repro of Wonderboy VI with the english translation, is it anywhere I wonder?
Well they have the rom translated, stick it on a flash cart and happy days. Just apply the translation to an original Jap genesis .bin rom.

If you want a rom translation then the only place to go is here:

    http://www.romhacking.net/

    Don't buy repro's, they aren't worth anything.

Do they sit next to the dilithium crystals in the warp core? Or is that the flux capacitor I'm thinking about. :p

They turn a white horizontal line into a glorius full sized image :D It's what was wrong with te Ridge Racer monitor, I just got a a few of them just incase. Apparently they're fragile enough, & my other monitor has the exact same chassis so handy to have spares I guess.

I was holding off spending too long on the cab due to the type of repair I had to do. The old one had thermal laste all over the back of it, & it sits flush against a metal casing so I presume they get a little toasty. My botch-repair didn't really allow for proper cooling so I limited play to a few games, but now I can play until my arms are sore from opposite locking :P

Finally decided to pick up an Everdrive cart. I really wanted the full deluxe version, but in a bid to save some cash, went board only.

The board only version comes with a gloss label to put on a Megadrive cart shell. They also sell the Everdrive clamshell inlay.

Looking forward to hacking apart a crap Megadrive cart shell for this :)

You can preorder them and they'll ship out when they arrive. (The site says 2-3weeks)

I think it's pretty much going to be like that forever with them! Did read somewhere yesterday that someone was talking to the guy who makes them and he said he wanted to get a batch out this week.

Thanks Enternow for my lovely new arrivals, my PS and my Asian Megadrive, both lovingly modded.
Playing Einhander this evening, so happy days there and Thunderforce IV works again, hooray!
You'll have to explain the toggle switches at the back to me.
If I pipe 60hz via a composite I get B&W pictures, this right?
I have to get an RGB cable for the MD I take it?

If you send 60hz via composite your tv needs to be able to support NTSC. If it does support NTSC, you'll get colour. If not, it'll be black and white.

As you said, RGB is one way of displaying colour in 60hz on tvs that don't support NTSC.

You should have an RGB cable for your MD anyway :p they're dirt cheap and look amazing.

Yep, pick up a scart rgb to experience the joy. On my tv, 60Hz through RF is black & white and jumps around the screen a bit. I can fix the jumping by changing the colour system on the tv menu, but Megadrives do not output 60 correctly over rf (it's to do with a type of oscillator they use)...so just pick up a scart to sort it.

Picked up a cart-only copy of pokemon snap (love that game) and what appears to be an absolutely brand new CIB Excitebike 64. The contacts look like they've never been put into an n64.

I took a drive down to Naas today for a Market expecting a goldmine of retro goodness, instead i found a knitters paradise and about a billion books.. the place was barren except for a ps2 with about ten games which i dually raised me nose to and walked on. Whats the story with nearly every table at a market having that "Buzz" game, all i see is controllers for it everywhere.

Instead i went to McDonalds with the family to eat away my disappointement then went to B&Q and picked up all the painting bits for my cab. Got an Oil Based Primer, rollers etc, fine sand paper and a Black paint. Does that count as something new for this thread? :)

I don't know but it always seems to come with PS2's! I bought a PS2 that came with 2 sets of them :(

Not realy retro...at all but bought Resident Evil Zero on the Wii for €4.99. I don't think the Wii version is supposed to be good though.

oddly enough I was there too :)
and heh I actually bought that buzz controller (a sony based mate sent me out a few ps3 games a while back , of which the general knowledge buzz game was one, it works fine with the ps2 controllers)...and I bought one of the ps2 bundle games for my daughter (it was a dora the explorer game), got it for 2 quid.
They'd an unboxed space invaders anniversary as well , although It took enough haggling to even split one game and I already had it so I didnt bother trying to buy it.
anyway on the way back I got a call from a mate , he collects retro stuff , and his mum works for a charity shop and keeps the gaming goodies for him.
Anyway she'd got him a c64c , but since he'd no room for it he asked if I wanted one! Aaaand I nabbed a portable CRT as my sister in law was happy enough to part with an old one!

Plus!with the portable CRT I finally got my lightgun sms games working (as they dont like crts bigger than 28 inches apparantly), so all in all a pretty good day :)

That C64 Looks in great condition. Id say that Naas market will pick up after a few weeks, that was the first week it was on.

Cool, Pier Solar "peasant" edition just arrived this morning. :pac:
Totally forgot I ordered two of them for some reason. And yes it does have the hang tab clip, a single one. Smaller than the other single variant but bigger than the version with two clips, see below o1s1n. ;)

Here's a bunch of pics, nice Watermelon watermark on the back of the outer case.
