Its fair enough. Huge games that are released this close to Christmas might be bought as a christmas present therefore there mightnt be as big a rush to play it.
    Its a though.

Thanks for that. Doesn't really sound ~€15 extra though for me.

Remember how much merchandise halo has though. When they release one id say half the games budget is promotion alone.
The other half is spent on making the same game over again :pac:

The missus suggested I wait till Christmas and there'll be a wheel in it for me too.

    What's another month, eh?:(

was gona go rooting in the attic for my ps2 steering wheel in advance but it will give me something to do for the half hour it'll take to install the game data

Can anyone who's had the game early confirm whether it can be played without the install or is it mandatory?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,503 ✭✭✭M00lers

Install is optional as far as I know.

10 gb install. not sure if mandatory, but if you choose not to install it might really increase loading times etc

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,528 ✭✭✭Lucious Sweet

I think you can play while it's installing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,561 ✭✭✭rickyjb

I highly doubt you'll be able to play while it's installing, doesn't look like installing saves a huge amount of time either according to this. Although over the life span of the game though I'm sure it does.

Has anyone heard of any stores bundling the game with a decent steering wheel such as the driving force gt??

Gamestop in Ballincollig have the DFGT in stock. I'd ask around other Gamestops too.

Also Harvey Norman and Game in Mahon Point for 99e.

I wanted a G27 but lack of funds and not wanting to wait to get said G27 heel means I'll shell out for the DFGT in either shop.

Anyone got any prices for GT5? I think the Standard Edition is €44.99 in HMV and €47 in Harvey Norman. It's £35.90 on the Tesco UK site, so hopefully it'll also be €45 or less here. If anyone knows of any other prices, it'd be much appreciated.

Just 7 more hours and my 5+ years of waiting will be over at last.
