43.95 is the price right now, there's nothing stopping them from changing it last minute though

Would it be worth going to a gamestop launch event? Like apart from getting the game as early as possible obviously. Get any free crap at these things?

Free Black Ops t-shirts. I'll be getting mine in Galway in the Skeff purely for that reason, I reckon a tenner above Tescos price for a cool T-Shirt isn't so bad.

In the past I preordered at my nearest Gamestop but they dont hold your prebooking as worth anything so I took my patronage elsewhere..am hoping HMV will give me good tradein on halo reach and one or two other games.

So is it definitely gonna cost 53 in hmv?I thought usually they have new releases for 45

Does anyone know if they are going to have a midnight launch in cork?

At least they are trying to be some what competitive.

Tesco for me it seems, they don't even need a booking.

Do not buy from these, i had alot of hassle from these cowboys before and i would never recommend these to anyone if i where you. I bet they sell the russian version of the game like all the other cdkey sites are and they will make a killed in profilt (scumbags).

Buy the russian version for 18.99e from http://www.keys4.me
Ive used these twice and they have been amazingly good support too and do scanned images of the gamecode.
Another alternative i heard good things about http://www.cjs-cdkeys.com/

    Just ordered mine. :pac:

will tesco sell it on the 9th?

Just spotted that the Amazon price has come down slightly to £36.97 for the xbox360 and PS3which works out at about €44.16. Think its the cheapest online at the moment but is slightly more than the cheapest bricks and mortar price. Amazon are pretty good at delivering things quickly too:) http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0036ORNUM/ref=ox_ya_os_product I had a £9 amazon voucher from irish opinions so for me it was the best option.

    Great thread, thanks lads!

I'm gonna be trading in MW2 for this. Too many games coming out for me to buy any outright so Tesco & Harvey Norman out the window. I will be ringing a few places getting trade in value for MW2, will post up here although ye COD purists will prob never get rid of MW2!!

Anybody know if Gamestop in Kilkenny (or Xtra Vision in Kilkenny or Thurles) are opening at midnight? I doubt it, but worth a shot! Sent em a wee e-mail but no reply as of yet.

Also, how much would those two places charge?

    I'm a PS3 man these days!

I'm horribly out of date with the gaming scene. I really only buy 2 or 3 titles each year, and they're just sequels all the time (Madden, PES and COD!) with the occasional GTA or L4D when I used to be on Xbox. I usually send someone on an errand into town to get a game for me so not sure how much games are these days!

Extreme boredom has me considering getting a game at launch for the first time ever :o

No chance of the street date being broken today?

There's always a chance but the fines are getting bigger by the year so the chances of getting it a copy earlier then the release date is getting less and less.

FIFA this year was pretty water tight.

So im just wondering who is going to be hitting Tesco at midnight tonight for Black Ops.

Im thinking of cancelling my order from Gamesnash so I can play at midnight because im craving it something terrible!

Who here is going pre-orderless tonight? Ive contacted the tesco in Artane, my local 2 mins walk, and they said there is about 150 going on sale but the girl on the phone didnt know if that included both ps3 and xbox. Does there be much queue in Tesco, am I in danger of not getting a copy?

If worst comes to worst I might go up and if I get one then fine Ill send back my pre-ordered copy on the cooling period basis. Rather not get my account charged though.

Edit* Trollox. Literally just got confirmation of dispatch.

Rang Xtra-Vision in the same place Artane and they said they've sold out pre-order.
