I can confirm gamestop will have it for €45 for pc.
I just preordered 2 for PC,1 for 360 and 1 for PS3 €55 for consoles.

Just got off the phone with a guy from Liffey Valley's GAME outlet, said the console versions of Black Ops will be priced at €55 for the Standard edition, and €80 for the Hardened Edition.

Yes. Here's a quick description of what ya get;

Standard Edition;
- Kino der Toten (WWII-set theatre map with the four returning guys from WAW's Nazi Zombies)
- Five (fend waves of Zombies off in the Pentagon as Nixon, McNamara, JFK and Castro)
- Dead Ops Arcade (top-down arcadey-shootemup inspired by Nazi Zombies)

Hardened Edition;
- All of the above
- Updated versions of the four Nazi Zombies maps in WAW, with the new diving mechanic as well as Cold War-era weapons added in

There is zombies in the normal edition. its the world at war zombie maps that are a bonus with the hardened/ prestige editions

FFS, as someone who is addicted to Nazi Zombies, this could push me towards the hardened edition. What's this diving mechanic? Are there any other updates apart from the weapons?

You don't have to root out the WAW disc, I guess

Diving mechanic is while running you dive a certain distance, and there's a half second delay during which you can't shoot/reload. Nicknamed the "dolphin dive" already

Tescos is open 24 hours but they have a seperate shop in Galway shopping centre for hardware, tvs, games etc and I doubt that will be open can I ask has anybody bought a big game on release day at midnight in Tescos, maybe they move some games into the main Tescos?

I got fifa in the main 24hr tesco in galway the tues morning after fifa 11 came out.

They had loads of copies and I reckon they put them out at 12am but couldn't be sure about that. Took a quick run down there and there's no sign of it yet. Sure you can always go to xtravision that's just out the front of the shopping centre if tesco don't have em at 12. Either that or wait untill the morning:).

Gamestop offer Black Ops for 14.99 when you trade in certain games. One of which was Medal of Honor, and considering i paid 38 for it brand new upon release in PC World a few weeks back, I really am not doing bad to have to add a mere 15 quid on top of it to get Black Ops.

Just got a text from Smyths toystore on the kinsale road Cork. I pre ordered online with them today. They are selling it for €45.99 to anyone who prebooked. Might be still time to prebook if you try their website. Seems to be the cheapest option at midnight.

It wont say in stock until midnight. Put in your mobile number where it says notify me when in stock and they will either send you a text with the offer I got or they will text you when its back in stock.

Tesco in Mahon point closes at 12 and doesnt usually have the games until the morning. Smyths are open until 11pm anyway you should give them a ring to see if they will have any copies. I had heard they were complaining of lack of interest.
