Aw... I really feel sorry for him. He could be condescending to listeners and guests; moralising and judgemental (although not to a Jeremy Kyle degree) and he came across as arrogant and egotistical, but his listeners totally indulged all of the above ("Neil's a man of the people biy!" Yeah sure, from his mansion) but whatever a person's level of dickheadedness, they only deserve a comeuppance (:pac:) equal to it, and I think this far exceeds what he deserves, in my opinion. Who knows about his career, but his reputation is in tatters, and his poor family...

The guy is a real tosser no matter where he lives. He's also responsible for his own behaviour and the wider consequences. I'd expect he be charged, convicted and who cares about a tosser's career...

Since the incident Mr Prendeville left a voice message on the telephone of the young woman who was sitting beside him, in which he said: "I just wanted to apologise to you for any offence that I might have caused you." He said he had no recollection of the incident and that when he was told about it he was "shocked and horrified". "I have no recollection whatsoever. I’m in shock, you know, I really am. I took some Nurofen Plus alright, I know that, for my neck. And as you know, with me anyway there was pints and wine and stuff and Jesus I don’t know where I’d begin to make it up to you," he said on the voicemail.

I can tell you what she won't want him to be doing!
Good job he wasn't flying with Ryanair or he would have been charged a handling fee.

That's going in the book alright! lol

There have been plenty of times I've woken up in the morning after drinking and think that the previous evening seemed quite mild and uneventful......until my friends tell me all the stupid things I had done that I didn't remember.....including, one night, getting knocked down by a car (explained the sore back)

Someone I know woke up in a Garda cell and had to be informed that he had vandalised some randomers car (completely out of character as well).

So, maybe you have a great memory when you're drinking, that doesn't apply to anyone else.

If that's your response to this situation then you need to stop drinking. That is unacceptable

If you woke up and were told you'd raped a woman, molested a child or broken into a jewellery store...that would be out of character....but would it mean you could stop yourself doing it. No, that kind of blackout is seriously unhealthy

Is it true he sought an injunction to prevent the examiner story and lost the injunction?

And that is the reason for the delay in publishingthe story?

He took the 4:30 to London. Would have arrived by 5:30 ish, train to PAddington - 15minutes, the pub is close right enough. No way into the pub before 6. Back on plane by 10:30 so he left pub at 9, latest

I mean I drank for three hours after work yesterday and I was sober as a slightly tipsy judge.

Yeah, obviously the guy was on something a lot stronger than booze or nurofen.

I hear that he's also facing charges of terrorism!

Sources have confirmed that he had a small weapon in his hand. :D

Who said it makes a difference where he lives? I don't like the man, never have, but he's being punished excessively, in my opinion - no way would he have just got it out and started tugging away if he was in his full senses. Who the hell would do that, bar someone who's not the full shilling? He was obviously heavily intoxicated - very few adults haven't been at some stage.

And TBH, waking up while having a tug is probably something lots of guys have done, I know I have, which is why I get a little paranoid about sleeping (especially after drink) on public transport!

Sleep **** happen. It just happened to someone who has a following so he is getting a worse doing than a regular person!

No harm in having that opinion!

And that is the only mitigating circumstance?

He committed a foul and obscene act, and should have to face up to the implications of it.

I think he's a particularly loathsome individual, and have no sympathy for him. He took the tablets and he took the drink, he takes the responsibility. (BTW, I do not believe him, for one moment, that he has as little recollection of the event as he claims.)

96FM could do with reviewing their attitude to the event. Supporting such behaviour (and the individual who does it) will not help them. I doubt UTV are over-impressed, either.

It's been reported he tried to hide his "actions" under a copy of the Cara in-flight magazine so it's a tad more than a sleep **** as you call it.

And if it was a normal person caught doing the same thing I reckon they would be cooling their heels in a Garda station the minute they were off the plane.

Must say I don't feel sorry for him 1%, he'd be the first to morally castigate someone else on his show for a similar action. It is karma and the tables have very much turned on him due to his own mistake.

A few years ago I aswell as a few other employees were involved in a company that closed down with virtually no notice. It was said by Prendeville at the time that he didn't care what happened staff as they had to deal with a situation they had to have known about.

To this day I can honestly say not until the day of closure did I or the rest of the regular staff know anything of the impending closure.

I remember him saying on the radio he didn't care if the staff had their nose's out of joint and he was actually almost condoning assault as his comments suggested theft etc by staff of the company. I won't name the company as it's an emotional issue for some still I'd believe.

I always thought to myself I'd love if something happened Prendeville that would bite him in the arse. To be honest I never imagined it would be his own penis.

Totally agree, he's had no empathy for people over the years and I really doubt many people in Cork's hearts are bleeding for him

Dave would be too embarrassed to be seen talking to Neil Prendeville I'd say.

The man made a massive mistake. He got extremely drunk. There have been no reports that he did what he did before. He's human. Lets move on.

There was an old man called Neil,
Whose cock was longing a feel,
When he sat on the plane, he pulled out his main vein
and splattered all over his meal.

How did he manage to board the flight if he had too much to drink.

Surely the airlines should take a dim view of Drunk passengers

Neil was the name of a chap
    Who's in a terrible flap
    He pulled down his slacks
    And whipped off his cacks
    Because he needed to fap

Into aer lingus and out comes my cock,
I really should have put it into my sock,
beside a girl and a boy I took out my toy,
she wasn't pleased neither was Roy,

Sitting in the chair thinking of air hostess muff,
I've no real apology, I'll just have to bluff,
I'll blame it on the gat, thats what I will do,
and maybe the pills thats handy too,

what to do now,a few weeks off work ?
at home alone thats at peace I can jerk,
no shame and no pain feels this radio jock,
about a small little incident involving my cock.
