Saw this Merc 450 SLC in Galway today:

    46312_441261743681_698008681_5397070_2048537_n.jpg

The car has a real bumper and the owner seems to use it :)

Could stick it in the obnoxious parking thread, but I understand, while he leaves as much space to the next car as he can. Don't mind really, as he doesn't block anyone else there either.

I park like that no matter what car I am driving. Irish people have no respect for cars new or old.

You mean, keeping your distance ? Yes, I agree there. (RANT) The worst thing is, if you park a bit further away, sensible and proper inside a spot, but where there are spots free on both sides of your car, even more than one in each direction, some person will come, stick their car directly besides yours (for whatever reason) and bang their door into yours. (/RANT)

As for backing the bumper up into the wall/fence/barrier: It ain't precisely the best for your car, but if you can't figure out how long it is, an old fashioned bumper with a thick rubber strip actually helps :)

Me too. I've seen too many people in car parks knock doors into the next car when exit/entering, I also make it a point to avoid parking beside cars with child seats, parents have to push their door fully open when attending to their child.

In the mustang I'll always park badly in an end spot, but only if there is space in the car park, i would never chew up two places if there weren't many.

Can't get the 'orn over this one as it's a manual. (Clue: bumper tranmission cooling air vents blanked off.) :D

But if anyone finds a slow Irish market RHD 1.6 diesel, then I might strike one.

Ah you cant beat the look on peoples faces when you park a XJR across three spaces diagonally.

A nice SLC "loading" outside Saba in town (Dublin). Those alloys are a bitch to keep clean and make the car look rough when dirty. Nice colour too, but a crap reg plate.

I've been there, in fact I lived just around the corner from it for a few months. Definitely worth the look but it's not really mind blowing or anything.

Looks like the suspension was fiddled with as the front is lower than the rear.
