There are none in Tesco Lisduggan, but I picked up one of each for 3.95 (marked that price on the shelf too) in Tesco Ardkeen about 6 o'clock. They had at least 6 of each left on the rack too.

    Any in Clare Hall?

About 20, advertised at 32quid but scanning at the magic 3.95 :)
I picked up 3 for myself, Mrs Claus and the little brother.

They're opposite the tills at the end of an aisle down near the Lifestyle Sports end

Tesco Ballybrack, South County Dublin. Plenty of the small devices (€44.99) priced at €3.95. I picked up the last 3 large devices this morning. (24 Hour store)

The rack was a bit of a mess, with plenty of stock piled behind, so, there may be more of the larger chargers, I didn't do much searching, happy with what I purchased.

Here's a photo of the Duracell rack, you can't miss it. it faces the cash register area, over towards the side of the store with the self service aisles.

Reason for buying? ..curious to see will these prolong the life of a Huawei USB Modem Hot Spot, the E5830, E5832, E585 etc.

Cheers OP, a fine bargain alert.

desire has a micro usb. The duracel charger has a mini usb male. Fits hero. BUT It also has a standard usb female connection so you can just connect ur phone to the charger using the standard cable that came with ur desire.

Just picked up the last €32 one in tesco Dundalk, all the €64 ones were already gone, they were seriously over priced at their original prices, though very happy paying €3.95:)

    Cheers o.p

Went to Nutgrove today, were all sold out but decided to walk on to Dundrum. They had five left there (10.15) I bought one for myself and one for a friend so there should be 3 left.

Charging via USB will be a slow affair.

IMO you'd be better off buying a cheap spare HTC Desire battery and wall charger from a HK seller on eBay (ensure 3pin plug). Costs less than €20.

Whats the difference between the mini and OP's one?

Tesco square tallaght only has mini (6) and marked for €3.95

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 126 ✭✭dextero

The mini only has the mini usb connection out, the larger one has an ordinary usb connection out as well.

Mini one has only 1 USB out it seems full size 2, it is full size USB out.

Cant see how long they hold the charge for anyone any idea?

HTC phones charge via a usb cable. The duracel pack seems somewhere in between a mains connected usb and a standard computer usb.

The larger duracel accu 2 in 1 charger also has a much higher capacity than the instant or the little accu charger.

Good ol' Quackles picked me up one earlier in Sligo..

.. didn't think I needed it until I saw how small it is.. much smaller and sleeker than the JuiceJack - will fit in my glove compartment!

Loads of the single ones in Arthur's Quay Limerick. Unfortunately I was looking for the 2 in 1 version though!

HTC Desire can be charged by either USB cable or AC Wall Charger. Charging via USB cable will usually provide a "slow" charge. The AC wall charger will provide more power and will charge the faster. Check Settings>About Phone>Battery. You'll either see "Charging USB" or "Charging AC". Or desmg will show slow/fast charging, check using OSMonitor.

It's actually possible to be "slow" charging in the car via USB, running Google Sat Navigation, and end up with a flat battery in the process ;)

Quite a few seem to have made their way to eBay already. :D

    Odd number of Dublin sellers.

The 2-in-1 are all out of stock in Tesco Ardkeen, Waterford. They have about 6 of both the smaller ones priced @ €3.95 on the shelf. I passed on the smaller ones. Are the small ones any good or should I wait until I pick up one of the bigger ones.

What's wrong with him trying to make a few euro for himself?

Because I'm sure the OP didn't share with a view to people profiteering. He shared it for others to get one not for one person to buy them all up and usurp Tesco as a seller.
