Anyone know up to what % it can charge an iphone?.

The reason i ask is because the pocket usb charger states it 'Provides up to 40% charge for mobile phones'. But it doesnt say what % for the listed 2-in-one charger.

That's the place where they are alright. There was none there half hour ago, only had the pocket accu charger not the 2 in 1 ones.

    YES!

Look at anything that is comparable to them...

Now stick Duracells name on it.

But but but, has anyone opened one of these up?
( iv a dead one at home that i intend to open once i return)

1500 mah or something i think.... isnt that about the same as a mid level rechargeable AA battery?

Could it be just one rechargeable battery in a decent case?

( i suppose it would have to be 3 smaller batteries to get that 4.5-5v for usb charging)

EDIT: 1.25 for a rechargeble so 4 to get 5v

Does that mean it's the big one I bought?
The one in the original link says it's 2000mah

I have a couple of these Philips battery backs. Handy for the iPod or DS.

One thing I noticed is they seem to hold their charge for a very long time.

I bought 10 of these in Dunlaoghaire SC before they pulled out thinking there was a mistake. Cheap Christmas presents. One dose an 80% charge on my IPhone.

The battery is 2000mah 3.7V that has to be stepped up to 5v with a boost converter which is probably fairly inefficient and probably drops out long before the 2000mah battery is empty so there is 750mah available at the output.

I picked up two more in tesco roscommon for 2.96 each they are twice the size and weight of the original one I got but only 50% more charge and I'm not that keen on the pushbutton on switch as I can see it going off in the glovebox/handbag/laptop case.

The fat one has no problem powering my 2.5" portable hard disks which is hand for devices that can't power them like phones/tablets.

    Very handy little yokes.

What cable do you use to power a hard drive? Or do you use a Y cable one to phone, one to battery.
