Firefox have released a beta browser for android, promises new technology that boost browsing performance etc etc.

Available from their mobile website, will have a nosey when i get home.

Syncs with firefox browsers on pcs etc.

Still personally hoping for a chrome deployment as i dont use firefox, but its good news for android browsing, cause top be honest after using most of the big name ones like dolphin and skyfire, they are seriously ****e

I tried the Fenec alpha at the weekend & it is hugely power hungry. Would not work on Hero 2.1.

Stock is the best for use imo, I use firefox and xmarks to sync my bookmarks between work and home etc, I dont need to sync them with my phone but I am thinking of going chrome for the ability to sync with my sgs

Call Confirm - Handy app that asks you to confirm if you want to dial a number, real handy if you have a habit of accidental dialling contacts in your phone book (like me :o).

Tried the fennec alpha myself over the weekend and it killed my Desire. Was too slow and pages did not load up as fast as the default browser.
Will wait till its got its performance issues ironed out and slims down. No browser should weigh over 30megs!

Is there any camera app that counters the fact that there is no flash on the camera, like a night mode camera app?
I find it very frustrating as it is the only thing that I feel this phone is missing, I'm also sick of taking pictures in pubs of friends that come out pure black

I assume you mean the Galaxy S?

Try Camera360, IIRC it has lots of exposure options but TBH you'll never hold the camera still enough to take a pic without a flash.

I just found this app on the store. It's for accessing all the mobile versions of online news papers on your droid phone. All in one place. Nice and handy

"AG Newspapers UK free" i believe it's called on the app marketplace.

Surprisingly enough there's one called soccer livescores. Has scores from all over the world and you can filter out the ones you don't want

Anyone got PSFreedom working on their Nexus One? Does it have to be rooted?

I had it working on my desire. Have you tried and failed or just haven't tried yet?

Have many people come across the option to store apps to SD card yet? I've used up all my internal space so at the moment for every new app I get an old one gets the boot.

Have yet to see the option of 'Install to SD Card'.

    :(

Why not use App 2 SD?

Some may have auto installed to SD without prompting. Go to Menu/Settings/Applications/Manage Applications and tap the On SD Card tab to check. Then go to the Downloaded tab and tap on each app in turn, some may have an option to Move to SD Card.

If you've got 2.2 you can send a lot more apps (not all unfortunately) to your SD card.

What phone have you got and who is it with?

After getting frustrated with the amount of free space available on the desire I installed a newer build of OpenDesire and was a little dismayed to see 40 megs free on the phone. Then installed Modaco, and foud that I had approximately the same amount free. I backed up my SD card, partitioned it with an EXT partition and swap file, restored the backed up content and was delighted to see 100megs free on the phone (down to around 80 megs free now, with all of my former apps installed).
