It's as not as good as I say, it's better. You are better off starting with Persona 3 though, P4 makes so many improvements that going back to P3 can be hard despite it being probably the best JRPG in years other than P4 :P

We love Katamari is a definite must have on the PS2. ****ing amazing game. Kingdom Hearts is brilliant as well despite the Disney aesthetic. As for DDS 1 and 2, I've not played them but the word is they are brilliant.

Nice, 3 excellent games there.

Not something old but a remake of an old game. I got Persona on the PSP today with soundtrack CD. So now my PSP Shin Megami Tensei collection is complete (eh, even if that's the only one other than Persona 3 portable which I won't be getting since I'm not sinking 100 hours into that game again).

Nice! Is MD V1 the early version with the Hi Def text? Have a boxed version of that en route to me from the uk. Had to use friends uk address as seller wouldn't ship to Ireland - annoying as hell that.
US seller just lost my business on a Nomad this evening, silly git had restriction that blocked me from bidding even though he emailed me the other day with shipping costs. I should've learnt from this happening previously and try to bid earlier. Don't understand why ppl trade on the internet but refuse to ship abroad, they're only losing out on extra money.

It is. The MD's with high definition graphics are the very first ones and they have better sound. Chances are it'll be TMSS(anti-piracy)-free as well.

Went to Omni for lunch and of course came back with games. Get the Thief complete collection for 14.99 (Thief 1 gold edition, Thief 2 and Thief: Deadly Shadows) and can't wait to give it a go. I've been told constantly how good the Thief games are and that I must play them! Also got Taito Legends for 1.99 and couldn't say no to it. The disc is in bits but if I can get it on to the hard disk I'll be fine.

Two items arrived yesterday.

I started a thread here a couple of months ago looking for the name of a Game Boy game that I used to own. Turns out it was Fortress of Fear. I always remember the look of the Knight from the game, nothing like the cover art.

I'm nearly finished this project I have of buying all the old games I used to own.

Picked up the first 2 boktai games, final fantasy 6, spyro the eternal night, castlevania & metroid NES classics and metal slug advance, all for the gba. Also Persona special edition, persona 3 portable, jeanne d'arc and star ocean 1 & 2 for the psp

It's really good, can't think of a better rail shooter and if you have played Saga the story finishes off that game nicely.

Excellent. I have played the original on the saturn and loved it. Not played Saga though......

Finally got my Gameboy Player for the Gamecube. Been waiting ages, had ordered one from Austria that never arrived and another came up on eBay.ie that took a few weeks to show up, cool to have it though. Guys....I think I have actually completed all the things I wanted to collect!

Picked up that chipped PS1 earlier today. Haven't tested it out yet but came with a memory card, cables, 2 controllers and 2 cd wallet fulls of some definitely legal games.

Hmm... Not a fan of it. The darius games only got brilliant with Darius Gaiden and then got awesome with G Darius. Anyone see the new Darius Burst arcade cab coming to japan? It's HD monitor is basically the size of nearly 3 widescreen monitors side by side.

Not played Darius Gaiden but just found a copy for a fiver on ebay.

G-Darius is even better, it's one of the best shooters ever. I've heard Darius Gaiden is better on Saturn but it's on F3 arcade hardware which the PS1 should be well able to handle so I'm not sure there's any accuracy in that statement. You'll need cheats to get anywhere in Darius Gaiden. There's one to increase the amount of credits you have because the 3 you get by default is not going to get you anywhere in the game!!!

I just bought the saturn version so I will let you know what i think

Searched for G Darius but can only find NTSC copies. Was it ever released on PAL?

It's a bit rarer in PAL territories. You are better off with the NTSC version. PAL totally kills a 2D shmup like G-Darius.
