    Nice!!!

If you're coming to the beers, bring that along. We'll finally be able to play some multiplayer Bomberman. :)

Colony Wars is an excellent game. You should have picked up the rest if they were going that chap, try sell them on after, do a Del Boy job on it.

Might just head back in tomorrow, didn't have enough on me to get them all today. Is Krazy Ivan any good? I don't think I've ever played it

Well my impression of Krazy Ivan was that it wasn't a great game. I played it a bit back in the day but it's not the kind of game that would pull me back in today. AFAIR it's like a first-person Soviet Strike, your in a helicopter or something. The graphics aren't anything great.

Get the demo disc's if you can. I love demo cd's.

The demos looked good alright, I wanted them all, and there was a great little mini-mag from Official Playstation in the colony wars box that brought a big smile to my face. Tiny reviews and previews of games I'd forgotten existed, Roscoe McQueen, Shadow Master, Rascal, Hydro Thunder... classics them all. :D

If you're ever throwing out/getting rid of those boxes, give me a shout!

I'll keep you in mind but for now I'm going to remain optimistic and hope that I will get the games for them back one day.

I know theres more treasure up there so I'll be diving back in soon.

Krazy Ivan is a game of it's time, one of the first releases on the PS1 and even in it's time it wasn't very good. Don't bother.

Krazy Ivan was actually a pretty game for the time. Full of fog though. Turok levels of fog, and not as good.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 53,260 CMod ✭✭✭✭Retr0gamer

It was never a pretty game, got absolutely creamed in review for the fog and pop up.

I'm thinking maybe I was in awe of the whole 2D to 3D thing :D

I went back and got most of the rest, Oddworld, Rage Racer. tekken, Wipeout, Syphon Filter 2, Time Crisis and Die Hard Trilogy. Pretty good haul, got a few demos for free too.

Still there.. Krazy Ivan :pac: Croc... which I hated at the time and would probably hate a lot more now, Bubble Bobble/New Zealand Story and the box from Formula 1 97.

Yep, that's it, so back I go tomorrow... :D

    They'll think I'm nuts!

Where did I get New Zealand Story from??

Just bought Wipeout 2097 for PS1 on ebay. By far my most favourite in the series, and my biggest regret when I sold my PS1 all those years back.

Just picked up gran turismo from someone on Jumbletown. Here's hoping copy number 3 works!

    Edit: It works! Hurray!

Odin Sphere came today in the post -

    odinsphere.jpg

Oddly enough, it had three of these stickers holding it closed. It also had two security tags inside of it. It's like someone bought it from GAME years ago but just never bothered opening the box. The disc is totally unmarked and perfect. As is the book. So it's pretty much brand new. For a fiver. Score!

I picked a few bits the other day, Enthusia, an odd GT stylie racer, Warriors Orochi, Project Snowblind all for the ps2 and Midnight Club, complete edition for the ps2, and all for 19euro

Nice one, loved that game despite it being a little repetitive. Looks absolutely gorgeous though.

First time I read that I thought you said Euthanasia! What a weird name for a game...

I've heard good things about it so thought I'd give it a go. I'm trying to catch up on ps2 games I either missed out on or never completed. Working on Ico at the moment. I'd played through half of it, thought it was great but a little frustrating when you died as it threw you back so far. So gave up.

Really loving it this time. Reminds me of playing through the original Tomb Raider. You fall, you die..you grit your teeth and just do it again.

Well the climbing dynamic was used, albeit far more user friendly, in Uncharted, but I prefer Ico, pure beautiful genius, like playing a painting.
Especially loved the mirror puzzle, glorious!

Pretty happy with those, especially the prince of persia trilogy. Got it in Gamestop in Bray, which had some good stuff in the PS2 section. 2 copies of persona 3, €20 each, digital devil saga 1&2 €10 each and we love katamari for i think 20 as well. Kingdom Hearts 1 for €3, few others I can't remember.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,345 ✭✭✭landsleaving

No, they're all from a charity shop in Blackrock. Was somewhere in Tallaght selling all the same games?

Thats a great haul man. G-Police and Colony Wars were great. I remember thinking the explosions in Colony Wars were amazing, especially the sound design. Really satisfying when you managed to take down one of the bigger ships.

Ah okay! Nah just a couple of them this morning, some guy jumped infront of me for the more decent ones & left only the sports games!

It wasn't me I swear! :( I may love my games, but I'm not gonna steal them from under someones nose like that! These collector types, they've no manners :pac:

What did you miss out on?

seems jack burton just broke his own rules, bouht Wolverine for the MD without the manual.

Twas really cheap though, and its a fairly hard game to come across, €12 posted, shipping cost more than the ****ing game again!

You should have snapped a copy of all of them up. Great prices for some stupidly good games.
