Is the PS2 laser wearing out a common problem? I know you've mentioned it a few times that you've had problems with it, I thought it was a rock solid console. Still using my original machine and never had a problem with it, modded PS2 slim works perfect too. The only machine I've ever had problems with is the 360 (on my third now I think), who hasn't with that I suppose.

Got some more goodies in the post:

Yep I'm sure it's aged terribly but I have fond memories of F2B and I like to wear the rose-tinted now and then. :)

But megadrive games like theres no tomorrow, good on ya!

I still have to pick up mutant league football and hockey, missed out on the football bot 99p a while back, kicking myself for that!

Got a brand new Gameboy Micro from Xtra-Deal in the square for a tenner. A PS1 for 50c and two new PS1 controllers for 50c each.

Deliverys normally arrive in on Thursdays and won't be out on the floor till Friday or Saturday.

Tis one of the perks of being the old manager of Xtra-Game. Most of the lads that work there are all very good mates, so as soon as they see somthing I think I might be interested in they give me a shout :)

That's just on the PS2, I think there could be 40+ games in the series. You can count them here if you want:

la pucelle tactics on ps2 in gorta chaity shop for 2 quid. Never heard of it before. It's one of those koei rpg's, not too bad. Fun enough to play, if a tad to cutsy.

I tired playing it before but didn't really like it but I think it was just me. I hear Disgaea is much better and by the same guys. The writing and acting was excellent however, a really funny game.

There's only two megaten games on the DS, yes? If so I have the complete DS 'collection' :P

Earlier in the year at a convention in Boston I had my hands on Jack Bros for the virtual boy, technically the first megaton game released in the US. Might have been the Japanese version I saw though, can't remember

EDIT: just looked at the article you posted there, it was the Japanese version I was looking at. Almost bought it, though it's not meant to be great so doubt I would've actually played it much

Yep only 2 on the DS. Can't wait to sink my teeth into Strange Journey, I heard it's stupidly good.

That's all you need to get?

Congrats! And good luck with the final few. They're only some of the most expensive PAL games in existence for any console.

I look forward to seeing pictures of your Darxide ;)

I loved T-Mek in the arcade especially playing with two cabs linked. The 32x version broke my heart though. Saying it was terrible is being kind

Where abouts where the Eyetoy bundles/ps1 controllers/GBA games?

...the baskets by the window? I've been goin to the place since before xmas & have never come across anything like that. Must keep missing em:(

Have been avoiding the past few months though because i always end up spending about €10/20 every time i go past, & im there atleast 2/3 times a week:P

Yeah accessories in the baskets to the left when you walk in at the window. Loose games in a box thing in front of the counter. Their stock changes all the time so it can be hit and miss. One week they'll have lots of x, next week they wont then a few days later they will again. It's a bit random.

Just picked up a few PS1 games in a charity shop in Blackrock

    G-Police
    Tomb Raider 2
    Colony Wars
    Overboard

€3 each, and all in mint condition. In case any of you are interested they also had Wipeout, Tekken, Oddworld Abes Oddyssey, Rage Racer, Krazy Ivan, Syphon Filter 2, a load of demo disks and possibly one or 2 more games, but I can't remember. Games were all €3, no idea about the demos

    I was in my parents atic last night digging for lost treasure and found;

A mint Condition Pokemon Red Box
A mint Condition Pokemon Gold Box
A mint Condition Gameboy Colour Box

My happiness was short-lived when the memory of lending these items to one of my cousins years ago came back. Unfortunatey he has grown up to be the kind of guy who wouldn't really care to much about returning them to me now, if they are still around. Alas....

Colony Wars is an excellent game. You should have picked up the rest if they were going that chap, try sell them on after, do a Del Boy job on it.
