    New light for my tourer.

    It's a Busch + Müller Lumotec IQ Cyo R Senso (LED). It works with the Schmidt SON dynamo hub.

    I'm not using the bike for commuting purposes so it wont be left locked up in public places for long periods & it's being stored indoors overnight.
    I only bought the locks above to bring with me if I intend on stopping somewhere for a bite to eat during a long cycle.
    I'll still lock it up within viewing distance ;)

    Just put this on the credit card -

    http://www.canyon.com/_en/roadbikes/bike.html?b=1932

    Biggest hit it's taken yet. Can't wait to get it and to build it up (and enter it on the 'Images of Beauty' thread, of course).

    Cheers Super Freak.

    They've got the reductions going throughout the TDF. 'Twas way over my budget (what budget?) but proved too hard to resist.

    For anyone interested the reductions which Canyon are offering are calculated on a daily basis based on the performance of the riders using their bikes during the TDF. I got the above at a 40% reduction. 30% was being offered on friday and 50% someday earlier in the week.

    The rules of the competition are as follows -

    (from the Canyon website)

    On the first day of the Tour we kick-off with a discount of 10% which we're donating so to speak as an advance on a hopefully successful race. After that we'll leave the racing to the riders.

    It's very easy to calculate the available daily discounts. If the best Omega Pharma-Lotto rider (or the team as the case may be) is in the top 10 of any of the competitions, you will receive a discount of 10% per competition. If the best rider (or team as the case may be) is in the top 20, you'll receive a 5% discount per competition. .

    The following competitions are included in the calculation of discounts:

    * Current day's stage
    * Overall standings in the green jersey competition (best sprinter)
    * Overall standings in the polka dot jersey competition (best climber)
    * Overall standings in the yellow jersey competition (overall winner)
    * Best team competition

    New helmet purchase.

    I've been using the mtb helmet on the roadie until now probably to the disdain of many.

    Having a lot of free time on work is not a good thing. Anyway I am looking around the sites the last days mostly about anything, from frames to bolts.. and CRC and wiggle have been the most expensive for mostly everything. Bike24, shinybikes, jedi, parker, merlin are all cheaper than CRC and Wiggle.

    Guys take a good look around before you press the submit button, I 've seen differences of even 30-40 euros on 140-150euro products (stem, handlebars to name two).

    Cheers for the sites astramonti, here's a virtual beer ;)
    Been waiting for 3 weeks for wiggle to send my richey carbon stem and they kept saying they'd have it in in a few days. So just cancelled my order and got it from Jedi instead for €109.90 instead of the original £126.04 from wiggle, saving about €40. Sweet!

    I don't like tailcap clickies, but in the case it would probably be OK as the battery spring is shielded by the carrier.

    OTOH I doubt the runtime would be great at 5W with AAA batteries.

    Nice price!

    Yes, it's that cheap that I am thinking of getting it just to try it. And it's front and back as well.

    Just bought a s*** load (shed load ICYWW) of stuff from Merlin. Their selection aint huge but they beat Wiggle and CRC for price on EVEYTHING that I checked. They had problems processing orders with their site over the w/e but everything seems to be fine now. Very polite and friendly over the phone.

    11-25 Chorus 11 cassette off cyclingbargains.com for ~117 yoyos.

    Very hard to find good prices on them at the moment, all the usual suspects are more expensive ATM

    Polar CS200CAD. Got a good price on it on amazon.co.uk of all places.

    Was going to go for Edge 500, but I don't really care about the GPS side of things.
