Posted this on another thread but no reply, so I'll try here :)

Question for you guys, if you got the text add on or calls add on, which is used first? I mean, is the add-on used after your flexi-units run out or straight away? So if I got 100 texts as an add on would my first 100 txt messages come out of that or flexi-units?

Your free add on is used first then your units thats the way it will work. Don't know if you were told your Free add on doesn't start till 01 Sep 10 the reason for this is they want to make sure you pay your first bill which is fair enough and also the add on is free.

    Hi guys,

Had a great fun selling the Iphone 4, never the biggest Iphone fan but when I seen it I was very impressed(I'll probably get one when I get paid). We had 20 and sold out in the first hour.

I do work with 3 and have noticed that theres a lot of confusion about things if you have a question reply to this tread and I will do my best to Help you. I don't know when were are getting in new stock of the Iphone 4 and also with the porting your number over it would normally take 2-3 hours but with the massive volume of numbers being ported to 3 Id say give it between 24-48 hours.

Ill do my best to reply to you asap.

Hey camrock, Thanks for helping out.

Do you know when i will get my deposit back, Was odd that i was asked for one considering i have been with three for over a year, But alas i was asked for €100, Just wondering thats all.

Howya Camrock, thanks for the input. What's the story with tethering? Does it come out of our data allowance?

    Hi Camrock,

Do you have on details on if the online orders will be delivered tomorrow? Many of us don't know how to plan our days because of the confusion.

Hey dude, fair play to ya for trying to help out. Just be careful. I'm a past employee and know of a case where a person lost their job for directly representing the company on this site (fair enough it was mainly for saying stuff they shouldn't have, but they didn't realise that at the time). Don't want to be a downer or anything, but just remember that your head office do read these forums. Forearmed is forewarned.

They are not charging for voicemail according to their terms and conditions from their website.

easy fella, there is a lot of new information floating around and people are just inquistive.

whilst i wouldn't be surprised if they charged for it, it does say "out of bundle rates". the question is, does accessing your voicemail count against your flexi-units or not? i'm not so sure the price guide is clear on this point.

Was that in connection with the massive thread on boards.ie about the problems with the 3 broadband modem? At the time, about 2 years ago, it was the biggest thread ever on the boards.

Just ordered online there now. Anyone any idea how long they'll take? Switched from Vodafone and after seeing the difference in plans don't know why I didn't do it sooner. Been with Vodafone/Eircell since the 088 days!!

i was thinking that myself, except, i was also thinking of waiting for a couple of months, until the new reworked design, that resolves the signal issue gets pushed out too...... im sure its a minor change.. on the handset..

isnt this flaw still in the handsets that are shipping here

    http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/first_iphone_4_class_action_suit_filed.php

€1710 is a lot to shell out over 18mths for a phone with a possible problem like that...

from what i read on the web if i go on the ultimate flex max plan, i have to pay 15c for voicemail access?

im not going to pay those feckers €95 per month and then have to pay to listen to my voicemail.

To be honest most of the people that have the phone and are commenting on it here on boards that I've seen havent had the problem. When my phone is on the table I could have full bars, once I pick it up it drops 2 bars. (Sound like Apple here sorry :p) If Apple do fix it I doubt they'd tell people, I mean if they release a fixed version all current owners will look for a replacement.

90% of the people who got one here reckon there is no issue. It seems to be more of a problem with the flakey AT&T network. I wouldn't hold my breath for a redesign until next June and iPhone 5......

ok fair points... however isnt it a bit rich to expect customers who are paying €95 per month, to pay extra to use voicemail?

    dont ya think?

Yeah I only seen that after I had bought. Sneaked it in so they did (3). But I've been with 3 for nearly 2 years, never had any issues with coverage or anything (so far). Plus I very rarely use voicemail.

I dont get it though, whats the difference between voicemail on a normal phone and a smartphone that warrants a charge?

can you see your unbilled calls on your three web account? does it refresh often? did you ring voicemail yet from your phone.... i would be interested to see what it shows up as...

or maybe does it even come out of the flex units?:D:D

just rang three and the guy i spoke to asked me was i thinking of coming to three, i said yes, and he got so excited:eek::eek:

i asked him about the 15c voicemail, he went off to confirm with his manager and yes, on the €95 plan voicemail is charged at 15c min.

Havent got my iPhone yet, and new contract wont have kicked in.... I dont think. Think it mentioned something about 15c outside of bundle, which makes it seem like it might come out of the units, but not sure.

add in insurance, and a few calls to voicemail, and your over the €100 mark per month

i was also quoted earlier in the week from three

    iPhone 8G 3GS = €270
    •iPhone 16G 4GS = €360
    •iPhone 32G 4GS = €440

    these prices are ex vat.

also its based on the business 600 unit plan, €80 ex vat per month :eek:

for those who bought from three online...did you get an option to purchase insurance?

I entered dummy details and didn't get an option.

They were so rushed in Store on Thursday night that not offered. They did mention when pre-registering Thursday morning that you can add insurance easily (~€10pm) anytime and if done within a week, it would cover from purchase.

Out of Bundle means just that - when you've used up your current allowance you are charged extra. I would be of the opinion that any VM calls you make are taken out of your flexiunits (calling 171 that is). You could always play it extra safe and dial into your VM by putting 5 after your 083/6/7/9 and then hitting # and keying in your pin code. But thats probably too much effort for some.
