Those photos are class! Thanks man! :D

What a night! Best fun ever, just a perfect gig. Absolutely loved it, the theatrics, the showmanship, the cheesiness, the air guitaring audience... Anyone else got whiplash from hair swinging/ head banging!? Awh, how nice were the band to the audience?! They know how to treat their fans <3 Gene was scary with the green lights and blood, actually did freak me out. So I can see why they were seen as devil music in the 70s!!

I dressed up and random KISS fans came up looking to get a pic taken with me and my friend (she was Starman)! Good fun! Met a dude dressed as Spaceman - I think we look very convincing :D

First time to see them & honestly, it's in my top three gigs I've ever been to. Totally amazing. My ears are still ringing (& I was up toward the middle of the balcony). That was a rock show to compare all other rock shows to.

Did anyone get the flash drive of MP3s from the show that they wouldn't mind sharing ? I went to get one & my buddy pulled me away so he could chat up some chick & I never ended up getting it.

That was incredible, they really know how to put on a show. Probably my second favourite gig i've been to (AC/DC just refuses to shift from the top spot!)

Anyone know who the official photographer was that was just outside the entrance to the main audatorium at the start of the night? We were dressed as the four members and she stopped us and took a couple of shots. Would love to know if she was from one of the papers.

my boy went for a surf as well but wound up on the floor

apparently (i don't remember too well) i made it to the front, got escorted out the door and got right back in when i said "listen, i accept i've done wrong... and i'm sorry.... but at the end of the it's kiss, and we're all just tryin to rock n roll all night and party ever day"

    That was just amazing.
    I LOVE Paul Stanley.

I think if they were playing again, I'd have gone tonight.

    :) Was awesome.

very unusual for me, but the more I think of it and remember different parts of the show the harder I'm finding it to put words to it..........

for me as a KISS fan for 30 years last night was very very special, the whole show was just superb, gotta be the best stage show I've seen, and I've seen a few......they were just awesome, sound, songs, theatrics, pyro everything was top notch, the fun factor was off the charts, had 2 lads with me that knew little or no KISS and I just told them that the show would blow them away and it really did, they couldn't believe it, just superb stuff.......

already planning on organising my trip to Las Vegas to see KISS when they decide to retire and just do a run of shows there......would love to see them come back to Ireland, the crowd was very decent in my opinion and with a show that good they should do even better next time from word of mouth.....
I'm just finding I've a silly smile on my face :D

Sorry to mention this but I noticied one little thing, when ever I was looking around me no-one seemed to be singing along.

    Anyone else notice this?

What a gig last night. The Fireworks, Stage Expansions,Set list. Really didnt think they would play 5 songs for the encore. God Gave Rock and Roll to you II was brillent and so was I Was Made for Loving You.

Was in Block E 5 rows up from where the Mini Stage was. Didnt expect to get that close to Paul Stanley.

It will be hard for any other band to live up to this show in the O2.

I actually saw people arrive late and leave just before the encore where i was sitting. Nothing more annyoying then people arriving in late blocking your view.

Last night was the 3rd time i've seen a full Kiss show, i've been at Festivals where they've headlined but i've not bothered my arse to see them.

First time was at Donington in '88, without make up, coming onstage at around 6pm, off at 7.30ish, still daylight, just didn't do it for me.

The second time was in 96 when they co-headlined Donington wit Ozzy, this time they had full make up and closed the show, i watched them for maybe 40 mins and got bored so went for more beer.

I wasn't gonna bother going last night but a lot of friends back in Wales had seen them in Liverpool and Birmingham in recent weeks, and they all said it was the best show they'd ever been to. One of my mates, Paul, NEVER says things like that lightly and is a hard core death metal fan.

I picked up a pair of tickets last night for 50Euro, didn't really wanna pay much more, now i'm so fcukin glad i did, and if they were playin here again next week i'd pay 100euro for a ticket.

As for best gig i've ever been to? Nah, but i put it in the Top 10, which is no mean feat as i've been to hundred's over the years, including some specials (Nirvana at Reading, Metallica at 100 club in 87).

If anybody wants a copy or 2 of the pics i took in High Res (i compressed them to get on here) just pm me your email

    WOW

    That is all

Ha , it was a unreal gig , Good timing aswell since we just arrived to the O2 as they were making the walk to the stage and the fact the people at entrance 3 let us in instead of making us walk around to entrance 1. The only bad thing was that it went way to fast , would def go see them again if they come back and they got a big enough crowd(more then i thought)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,366 ✭✭✭Star Bingo

looked like fun.. but i get the impression a lot of not so hardcore folk turned up to see a big stage production, which is what KISS r all about. n what the O2 was designed for.. i could probs enjoy just about any show there. with earplugs

its a great idea theyre doing this, but i know family Simmons are very rich as i seen the show on Bio can someone upload a copy per chance?
but certainly a better memento than a screen stars 100% cotton T. don't suppose they did a proshoot of it too?!

That was awesome. I Was Made For Loving You was definitely highlight of the night for me.

So much bloody confetti too! I'd hate to be involved in cleanup.

The only thing that could have made this better would have been replacing two of the new songs with God Of Thunder and Strutter.

Anyone see the 5 Peter Crisses?

yeah - Doc has been at all the UK shows too......seems to be really cool around the fans - had I noticed him I'd have definitely asked for a snap - check out the Tour Photos on Kissonline.com and you'll notice that he's in a lot of fan snaps, which is pretty cool......will be interesting how he does with Axl Rose.....

Great pictures Scudzilla. I went with some friends and my five daughters and we had a blast. It brought me back thirty years.

Brilliant crowd. Even now some people have misconceptions about the audiences that attend rock and metal gigs. There was no hint of trouble, everyone was there just for the craic, and there was a lot of it. It was wonderful to see so many people who had made an effort to dress in costume.

I love rock, but I also like indie and alternative and would be the first to admit that some of these bands are a little too earnest.

Memo to bands, watch a Kiss concert, that is how you rock and have fun while doing it.

    What a night!!!!

I'm still walking around with a huge grin on my face. Total entertainment from start to finish and great classic rock songs to boot.:D

Voice recovering from singing along to the songs, and, unlike previous posters, I noticed nearly everyone around me were singing along.

I was surprised at the age of a lot of the crowd as I thought the younger rockers would be a bit dismissive of KISS; but no fear, the ones around me were singing along to everything.

That was so special for me personally as I've been a KISS fan for 30 years and it's the first time I got a chance to see them live in make-up with the whole stage production. I saw them at Donington in '88 but they were't headlining and therefore hadn't there own show with them (plus they weren't in make-up at the time).

Sorry now I didn't but a Destroyer T-Shirt as seeing KISS this year, 30 years after I bought my first album which was Destroyer, it would have been sentimental. Ah, well, guess I'll go to the KISS website and order there.

I hope they come back again soon. I read an interview with Paul where he said they were going back into the studio after this World Tour to record a new album; Tommy and Eric's contribution to Sonic Boom seems to have given Paul and Gene a new lease of life.

So hopefully, new album = new world tour. And the vibe last night and word of mouth should make the next Dublin gig a sellout.

Have to say this was the best show I've been to, and as some others have said, I've been to a few in my time. Probably not the best gig (AC/DC in '82 will take some shifting), but the WOW factor was off the chart.

Got some great pics myself, this is one of my favourites:

Nice pic, if ya look closely i think he has Dublin and the date written on the bottom of his guitar, i think that's in case Paul forgets where he is, only has to look at Gene's guitar :D:D

Where they really there or did Dave tell Paul that he saw Kiss in town, Paul tells Alan that Kiss were walkin down Grafton Street then Alan tells Bob that Kiss were drinking in Bruxelles.....

Bob then tells Derek that he went to the jacks with Paul Stanley.....

See, that's how rumours start ;)

unless they are practice sticks ??
I don't pay much attention to merch like that.....generally the merch wasn't as expensive as I was expecting to see it....

they were staying in the Westbury from what I've been told, and I guess if they were that close to Bruxies it wouldn't be surprising that some of them would have gone in on one of the nights

I was torn between the drumsticks and the Black Diamond t-shirt.. I'm a huge Guitar Hero head so the sticks would have been cool, but the t-shirt won in the end. €5 cheaper too! :D
