When I fancy someone, sometimes something fairly fickle will totally kill it for me. For example guys putting knifes into their mouths to suck food off. Anyone else got something fairly innocuous that makes their heart sink and lose the buzz for someone.

As for nonattractiness, I suppose are too much nagging, make up, doesnt read, isn't the sharpest tool in the shed etc

    smoking is the worst

dress sense.. i generally wont fancy guys who wear sports jerseys..or any of those tshirts with sh1t slogans like "if found please return to pub" or that say anything about sex etc.

    long fingernails.

saying things like "how's you, pet?" UGH.

if they OPENLY talk about fancying people like megan fox/cheryl cole or buy nuts/zoo/FHM etc pftt.

if they use terms like "the missus" and "being in the doghouse"

thinking the killers/coronas/greenday "are class" .

expecting you to be impressed that they are in a band.

as someone else said, trying to act cute.

    2)Alpha males. GTFO.

3)Don't tend to get along with aries blokes for some reason.

    4)Bad hygiene . Ick.

5)Being late. Just get there on time FFS.

6)Guys who are very "traditional" and are shocked to find I am not.

    7) Knuckle crackers.

    8) Not having a nice arse.

Was with a girl who's only response to anything was:

    "You're pulling the piss?"

    I died a little everytime :(

Smokers who smoke to be cool and to fit in. If you enjoy one with or after a pint fine, but not when you wake up in the morning, before your breakfast, after your breakfast, before you leave the house, just after you leave the house etc and having all that as a result because you wanted to fit in with a certain crowd.

That posh accent that people put on in Dublin and they put like or loike in everywhere they can and try to make the most simple tedious things sound amazing.

"I woke up this morning and was like AHHH cause the alarm clock didnt go off and I was like OMG OMG OMG (actually saying O M G), then I went to find my clothes and couldnt find the roight ones and I was like OH NO and then I called my BFF she was LIKE "O. . M . . G loike seriously" ahhh piss off!

Narrow minded attitudes to most things. (I dont care if Im like that, I rock and thats all that matters)

    bad hygiene

Text speak on emails and things similar to facebook. Why?

The female equivalent to this in every way

People who self taught themselves something and then think they know more then someone who has been doing it for years.

People who are shallow and try to hide it.

Women who use their femininity to get what they want. Users.

Feckin country women folk who try to be dublin women folk. GOD the D4 accent intertwined with the Mullingar mumble is ridiculous.

Oh, I fcuking HATE when girls get pierced every which way considering themselves "alternative" when EVERY one of their friends is the exact same!

    I can't stand badly applied make-up.

Katy Perry bi-sexuals are just being stupid.

Girls who txt rather than text. I use lol, and haha alot, but I ALWAYS spell my words correctly, I expect the same.

That is not to say I don't find these people sexually attractive, I just wouldn't have a conversation wtih them!

Oh god, that drives me crazy! Especially when they suggest the time then act like it's no big deal that you have been waiting around 20 mins!

I am always 5 minutes early, never just on tme, and I am never late. Punctuality is very important to me! As sad as that is! I use public transport and I am never late, people who I knwo that drive are ALWAYS late!

pet peeve of mine - guys who pretend or are into the whole romantic thing; staring into your eyes, telling you that you really are special and they respect you, talking about walks along the beach, make a big deal out of valentines day and generally go for a very commercial hollywood idea of 'romance'.

So offputting. And definitely not a good candidate for the bedroom.

it is so incredibly rude to be late

if i can manage to get there on time, then so can others

newsflash, i've gotten there despite traffic/not being able to find my keys for afew mins/taxi turning up late/whatever because i anticipated potential delays and allowed time for them

    it aint rocket science!

I'm ashamed to say I'm one of those late people. I tried getting up way earlier, but I will ALWAYS be 10 minutes late to a lecture no matter what =/

This is so confusing for guys.

For so long, women have been giving the message that these are things that they would want their guys to be more like.

Either women were full of it all those years or women are changing and becoming more guy like with their attitudes to relationships.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,440 ✭✭✭✭Piste

    I like those things!

Could it possibly be that different women like different things??? :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,940 ✭✭✭ballsymchugh

'zany' types. could never be friends with people like that.

yep, those ones at festivals who get a new pair of pink and purple wellies, and then talk all deep n **** about the cosmos. feck sake, just enjoy the music, don't make me feel guilty about what little things are rattling about your head.

i don't drink, and hate the girls that say "i'll have to get you drunk sometime"
what's the problem? i'm not trying to get you to stay sober all the time so enjoy yourself. better women have tried too.

and i hate people who say they'll call and then don't, or who say they'll meet up and then call an hour before and say they can't leaving you with fúck all to do. and girls that get pissed off when you don't (can't) answer your phone. and girls that count the points in any food on any menu anywhere, whatever the hell they are.
    and petulance. grr.

Yeah but she means the obvious fakeness and insincerity of their pseudoromantic ways that they use to get women in the sack!

girls who pretend to be interested in something I like just to seem to have something to agree on.........or when they fake laugh.

They are very common but I hate white runners, I always associate them with scumbags.

Smokers, I don't think I have to explain that one.

'Txt' speak, I'm dyslexic, first of all I can't actually read it second, if I can spell right so can you.

Along the same lines, when someone texts me too much, I have a limit of texts out where I just get sick of it an stop replying. If people want to chat to me, they can ring me.

There's lots more things like when my boobs get chatted to instead of me or the kind of guy that thinks it's normal to get píssed to the point of having no idea what happened (having a guy look at me with one eye closed to focus properly is not attractive)

Just talking personally, Outlaw Pete, maybe there are plenty of ladies who dig that, but for me, as just one individual woman, its a deal breaker.

No don't mean that at all, thanks though wireless.
Have no problem with my sexuality and my desire to get men in the sack, as you put it, when I want.
So, am just saying the gooey pseudo-sentimental ideals of romance are a turn off for me is what I am saying.

    I hear ya.

But I also read and hear this A LOT lately, so it's not just you.

I'm 36 so have been around long enough to notice a vast difference in what women seem to be saying now compared to 15 - 20 years ago.

I honestly think the line between the sexes is diminishing fast.

I never heard women 15 years ago say things like they don't like touchy feely guys, quite the opposite.

Back then you would hear women expressing that they wish their guys would open up more and buy flowers occasionally and would talk to them after sex etc etc

This became a cliche as it was said so much by women - comedians, movies etc etc would refer to it.

However, this now seems to be not the case.

Dont get me wrong, personally, I would be keen on the above, especially the flowers, and the post coital chats with complete openness. That's a world away from the fake persona of the hollywood ideal of romance and sentimentality.

Hate to say it OutlawP, but maybe you are gettin a bit jaded & tired in yer women hunting methods? :D
Somethings really don't change and there is always a fashionable wave of how men and women should behave and want in the old dating game, maybe you have just seen the end of one cycle and the beginning of another?
