Someone just told me that ''I'd say we'll have a new Year Zero and from this day forth August will be Aengust...''

And while I remember: Thanks to EVERYONE who came out on the day to help, who put up posters in their apartment windows (sometimes withuot my knowledge), who put up photocopied posters in lecture hall windows (again, no idea who that was, but thanks), who dragged friends in to vote, who invited friends to the FB group, who put up with me in the lecture addresses, and who voted. I don't have the time or the credit to reply to every single pm, email, visitor message, text or FB comment, so take this as my 'thanks'.

Very hungover after last night. Last thing I remember is skulling three pints on the way out of O'Neills. Well done to the candidates who got elected, and to the USI Referendum, which is a metaphysical thing and so wasn't out drinking.

I was a bit annoyed about the count not being public. It's a bit like "We'll have all the democracy taking place in secret in this room that nobody is allowed in to". Apart from that, I think Grace ran a good election, although I heard around 800 of Jason Whelan's votes were mistakenly counted for Aengus.

Also, if you see Rob around today and he tells you that he got the highest number of first preferences ever, please slap him.

It appeared when you got to 20 (I think) votes. Minimum requirement. If it were up to me, 1,294 posts (read: votes) would be the minimum requirement.
