Still no results here:mad:One of the teachers said that a lot of them are back but most of them are LC ones.

If you haven't done your Maths Paper 2 yet, I think I have the same ones as you, they have bar codes but no ticks or anything so there not examcraft.
I've only just started my pres, had Maths Paper 1 and English Paper 1 today and my teacher told me theorem
    10
is coming up on Paper 2 on the co-ordinate geometry question I think
(it's the theorem that goes "In a right angle triangle, the square of the length of the side opposite the right angle is equal to the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other two sides")
. She only told us because we haven't done any theorems, and she couldn't expect us to learn all 10 in 2 days :P.

Thanks for that but I actually had paper 2 today XD It went so crap that I'm going to see if I can get grinds this late in the year. It's so unfair because I'm pretty sure I'll get honours in almost everything else but I'm sh*te at maths :D

They aren't meant to be but people do anyway.

Got my Geography back. Did well considering I skipped some Qs by an accident.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,419 ✭✭✭WanderingSoul

I got an A in science so I'm delighted. I don't care that much about anything else really (though I would like to meet certain targets in History & Business).

That was the only one I really wanted back.

I also got my French back (C) but I should improve as we haven't done letters or much listening yet.

Well done, Alexis. I had to scab marks to get my A in science :o (although the examiner did make stupid mistakes when correcting, marking 15 marks worth of correct answers wrong).

Did Spanish listening today! :( Section A and C were fine. B was hard and D was impossible.

I've got 100% in CSPE in 1st year but that's really been one of the only results I've got above 90% in an important exam. I usually get in the seventies & eighties.

I've actually been lucky enough when it comes to that.

    I got 16 results above 90 (with 3 100%s) (Geography x 4, History x 3, Business x 3, English x 2, Art x 2, Maths x 1, Science x 1) in 4 important exams (2nd & 3rd year Christmas exams and 1st & 2nd year Summer exams). A lot of that was luck though and I do not expect results like that for the mocks at all.

My results tend to vary a good bit though, like in some of my Christmas or Summer exams (especially in the 1st year Summer exams) I'll have 7 subjects within 15% and then a gap of 25 - 30% before the next result.

In first year, my Geography teacher was class. It was his last year before retiring (:() but in the summer exam he included questions such as "What is the best football club?" and "Which is the best county of Ireland?" He supported Spurs and was from Clare. :pac:

I had a fantastic geography teacher in first year, I ended up with 100% in my summer exams. The questions there though are really funny, teachers in my school wouldn't be allowed do that though because all the tests for the whole year are the same.
Got Business back today - 81% :D I think highest in the class :D:D
English, Irish and Geography are back but they had just come back when English class was on and she had to total the two papers and my Irish teacher says she's not giving them back until Monday  and Geography is tomorrow so hopefully I'll get it back.
Can't wait for English. And Maths although paper 2 went terrible because I didn't get it finished but I'm good at maths so it'll be alright I hope :)

Well done in the Business. That's really irritating about the Irish, it's so annoying when teachers do that. Good luck. :)

I hate languages I'm not fluent in (in that I'm including Irish & French). I find them very hard, although I get high enough I can do honours, I'm definitely dropping to pass for Irish for the LC.

Don't have the course finished but I'd say we are pretty close and one or two of the questions I hadn't seen before but managed to get through anyway. Danke!

    And done! :D

Music was surprisingly easy! Finished a half an hour early so took a shot at doing perfect cadence questions encase I could get better marks for it.
My happiest test so far! Hopefully an A or at least a high B! :)

Guess who's finished their mocks? :D

Had CSPE today, was simples. :)

My business teacher came up to me today and said "I corrected your Business P1 & I think you got in the seventies"

Although it's a good score, I'm a little disappointed. I thought I'd be getting in the ninetees tbh & I found P2 really hard so I may end up getting a low C or a high D! :(

Oh My Goddddd!!! I got an A in English!:D So surprised! I was one of the ones mentioned in the examiner's report :D
And an A in Irish too :)

What? Our teachers keep saying there being sent off to be corrected, and we had to pay €105 for it!

Woah, that is impressive. English and Irish are the ones I'm expecting to score lowest in. But English! Fair play!
