I do indeed. Looks like I'll be using a lot more of it now though!

I do hope I can last, as I do use a ridiculous amount of the stuff.

Right got to rethink the layout in the kitchen at home. The press we keep the tea and coffee in is the same one as we keep the goodies. Went to make a cup of coffee last night and had to move the crisps and chocolate out of the way to get the jar, OH had been out shopping. Was not a happy camper.
Still managed to resist and onto day 3 :)

But I was strong and said "no thanks I'm really going to enjoy this piece of fruit instead.." :D

Done the shopping today. Got the other half popcorn and the kiddies cookies that i dont like. My only treat was a bagle. I promised myself energy bars for cycles or should i restrict myself to ones i dont like and a gel. Would this get me back into the choccie buzz ?
I am having massive cravings but once i get to bed it will go away. Unfortunately it will be 3.30am.
    A day at a time.

The story went something like this. Christeb was at his Godchild's bday dinner. Chocolate cake goes around. Christeb resists. Christeb's uncle punches christeb in stomach and while gasping for air, cake is forced into christeb's mouth.

I only eat chocolate at work, usually go to the shop at lunch to get a drink with the good intentions of getting a bottle of tropicana and end up with coke zero - I drink water throughout the day so need a little change for my lunch. Of course, when I'm in the shop creme eggs/those thin dairy milk bars call out to me. I don't even like chocolate.

Then we get boxes of sweets and biscuits from patients when they're going home so they do be sitting around. Don't eat junk when I'm at home.

Christeb later ate 1/2 a snickers bar of his own accord and has been like a pig in chocolate $%^t all day today!

I stayed away from the world famous coffee cake in Kilmac today.
    It gets easier after that

I think the missus didn't get the memo.

Last night she made a trifle for dessert, and when I exasperated reminded her that I would not eat sugar during lent she came out with the line "what, not even a small portion?"

The bad news: she's turning into her mother
The good news: The pledge is still alive, and after surviving that episode I think I'm doing rather well. :D
The other good news: I've lost 3 pounds in one week. While I'm sceptical about the rapid weight loss, this is definitely going into the right direction. :)

Still off the peanut butter!!!! i would have gone through 2kg tubs by now if i was still on it!

I have decided that for the remainder of lent i will stay off the dak choc aswell as once one of those 100gm bars are open, its oplished off. So i might have a bit here or there but will majorly cut down.

Gonna limit myself to 2/3 coffees a day too. need to cut back.

Got home late last night after a FIFA 10 tournament at a mate's house, couldn't sleep as the nightmare that was Michael Carrick's jammy goal that knocked my Barca team out of the tournament kept giving me nightmares. Alarm went at 5.45, I actually got out of bed and, feeling totally zombified, turned it off. Technically, I didn't break Lent as I didn't hit the snooze button, I just turned it off full stop :D. Let's see if I can de-guilt myself tomorrow morning!

Hey Geld.. no poster here called 'Wrinkly Shirts' it part of my pledge ;) Also, there was a rule that no one can join after Pancake Tuesday so its up to the posse if you are aloud stay mate, perhaps you can be aloud for fixing up the list format again... cheers

Day 6 - I'm hanging in there, just about... 47 pledges still left and 40 more days to go.. stay strong everyone... think how good you will feel about yourself and how delicious the reward will taste/feel ... :D

The first weekend was a toughie alright. Sat night curled up watching Winter Olympics with a cup of tea and choc hob nobs carckers+cheese+cucumber+tomato  Sunday after the Race they had sambos, cake and choc chip cookies on offer... I resisted. After the race a 2 hour hike with my OH up a snowy mountain and then a full roast dinner with 8 others, one of whom kindly baked a chocolate cake for dessert! I had a pear.. however thankfully it was the biggest juicest tastiest pear I have ever had :D I had such a craving last night that I ate 4 bowls of Alpen.....
