Izoard- I'll give up sticking my head into the goodie-press and stealing the kids treats
T runner - Sugar (added sugar to tea, coffee, cereals etc.)
average runner - Fizzy drinks, my real downfall area.
RedB - I'm in - no sugary foods/drinks or crisps. No beer (Gels for long runs are the exception)
RubyK - Salt. I use WAY too much of the stuff, plus cheese & onion crisps.
meathcountysec - I'll give up sticking my head into the goodie-press i.e. no more crisps, biccies, choccie etc.
pgibbo - Sweets, chocolate bars and crisps are what I give up for lent.
TFBubendorfer - Sugar it is. No chocolate, sweets, sugar in coffee and so on. Gels for long runs are the exception
shotgunmcos - Biscuits (my biggest vice) and the snooze button. Considering a just dunked an entire pack of dark choc hob nobs into a cup of tea and hit the snooze button at least 6 times each morning (5min snoozes) - its going to be a loonng 40 days
tisnotover - sweets, choc bars and crisps
    Littlebug- crisps (the devils food)
luvlylady - chocolate, white bread & pasta (except wholemeal).
MitreSize5 - chocolate, I need to break the bar a night routine thats been going on all my life. recently got my cholesterol tested and it 5.8!! Doctor reckons its all down to the Galaxy's
ULstudent - limit coffee to 2 cups a day, stay off the peanut butter: i go through, on average, a 1kg tub of meridian natural peanut butter a week! Not one flapjack either will pass my lips.
BrokenMan - Chocolate Bars and Crisps
RacoonQueen - Chocolate(creme eggs ) and fizzy drinks except the day of/after the Barcelona marathon if I deserve the treat. :
menoscemo - Crisps, I go through about 15 packets a week and I doubt they give me anything good back
another world Chocolate. It´s going to be tough, I eat at least a bar a day
Blueskye - Chocolate. Although I don't know if I'll even survive 24 hours as I have a serious addiction!! But I'll give it a try.
MrCreosote Coffee- limit to 2 cups a day. I'll be happy if I last a week. I'm not even going to try chocolate...
Slogger Jogger - Crisps (my usual daily vice)
Sosa - All Desserts,biscuits,chocolate,cake,...etc...basically all treats...this will be my 4th year in a row doing this.
All i allow is a nutri grain or breakfast bar (not any with chocolate in it).
gilmore - chocolate and crisps, I have at least one of each per day.
gerard65- nothing - no catholic guilt here]
SUNGOD - white bread and chocolate
donothoponpop - booze. Also a bit worried about perceived Catholic association with lent, so I won't let my eldest lad make his Communion, to balance the kharma universe.
roversrunner - Everything sweet and crisps. High sugar foods such as yogurts.
beamgirl - chocolate, finding that it gives me heartburn recently but still cant stop eating it!
Racheljev - chocolate and sweets, I'd live on 'em if I could.....
Triangle - The lovely chocolate cupboard and the vino (ouch, there goes my weekend tipple)
christeb - Processed sugar (choc / sweets / ice cream etc and watching episodes of The Office (US)
Sideswipe - Chilli Nancho's (I eat loads of the big share bags and never share):o
BeepBeep67 - Crisps (Hula Hoops, Chipsticks, Doritos, Phileas Fogg, Tayto, Walkers, etc)
Raging_Hull - Chocolate and anything with chocolate in it. Absolutely no exceptions!
Village Runner- Have to be realistic.
Going to give up till ballycotton. Biscuits, cake , all chocolate, scones and brack. On long runs and long cycles i will have energy bars.
kennyb3 - all take away food
DustyBin - snooze button (training mornings only - doesn't count when I've the morning off!) & nicorette - been off the fags since Aug, about time I gave up the nicorette
MarieC - fairly good re. healthy eating but will be very disciplined for Lent re cake, biscuits, chocolate, taytos, icecream, sweets. Think I will also give up butter, and another things thats gone for the next 6weeks is watching crap telly cos Im too lazy/tired to get off the couch e.g. Desparate Housewives, Home + Away etc.

I am in overload eating as much sh!t as possible before Wednesday

Its like Easter Sunday since last friday

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,208 ✭✭✭shotgunmcos

    ^^
Me too! BTW a full pack of choc hob knobs soaks up 1/4 a mug of tea if you dunk and hold for 2 secs (just to the point of it breaking off into the mug and the ensuing delicate art of fishing it out with another hob nob without that one breaking in too),... how sad am I :pac:

I'll also be having a stack of banana, ice-cream, nutella, hazelnut crepes tomorrow night to be washed down with hot chocolate

Been practicing the snooze button already though as that one could land me in trouble in work some morning with me not show up

Is anyone else addicted to those nutri grain elevenses bars?! I discovered this weekend that the raisins one is as good as the choc one so that a bit of a relief...

Just found out lent is 46 days this year! I thought it was supposed to be 40. How will I survive those extra 6 days? (although its a non issue for me really- I cant see myself lasting 2 days without diet coke!)

Sundays are not included in the 40 days (according to google ;)).
