Last night it really hit home how used I was to raiding the sweets cabinet. Having my tea in front of the telly without the usual chocolate and/or biscuit was totally alien to me.

Managed to avoid the scones in the office as well.

    Still hanging in there.

Well last night I was going to say "what the hell, screw this self-imposed no late eating rule....I want Cornflakes!" But then, the thought of telling you people that my will power lasted less than a day shamed me into holding firm! :)

    One day at a time......

Last night, I arrived home after running back from work starving and tired. My Dad makes a surprise visit from Sligo, demands a cup of tea and when I inform him of my pledge he grabs me in a headlock, says no son of mine is taking his tea without sugar and pours a cup of sugary tea down me gob!

Hes off now to terrorise another of my siblings so im back on the horse and off the sugar. Sadly I must cross my name off the list in absolute disgrace!

still good, though I missed my fig-rolls (usually eaten in 6') with my tea after dinner!

here's the sad bit, washed my teeth early last nite, thereby putting off temptation further in that I'd have to wash them twice if I caved in ;)

Mooched around after dinner yesterday evening feeling like I 'needed' something else (i.e....a sugar fix!). Distracted myself by having some cheese + grapes which I never normally do. The same fidgity feeling came on me later in the evening when I again felt that I was missing something (Choc biscuit/nice beer image floating through my subconcious). A bowl of cereal sorted that out but hopefully I'm not just swopping one habit for another .

    My OH does that!!
    Talk about self denial ;).

Just had a lovely Double Decker at lunch time - sluuuuurrrppppp!
Oh, and hang in there guys.

hmmm the 'missing something' I totally get. I almost don't feel like myself today :( and its only day 2. Also since I'm off the snooze button I'm waking up waaay before the alarm as I'm nervous about sleeping through and missing a session or work.

I guess some people are reading this thinking.. what a saddo its only frickin chocolate/biscuits.. well thats exactly my vice and I've failed EVERY single time I've tried. Having a sugar craving calorie gobbler of a hobby doesn't make it easier. Oh and I just remembered that my recovery shake powder is chocolate flavour so I have to order a different one!

    Vent over.

Earlier I tackled my boss about the spoon of sugar in her tea and added up the calories of one per day. However then she informed me that she drinks 3 cups of tea and 6-7 cups of coffee A DAY  with a sugar in the tea and 2 in the coffee

As hard as I find it to resist now, I cant stop thinking about Rubyk and the roasted spuds with no salt... yikes

Best of luck with that this evening girlie ;)

Was running late this morning, so no time for porridge at home. Had a real craving for the canteen fry when I got to work.... must... be.... strong.... Was going for a cup of coffee about ten minutes ago when I remembered that my two cup quota was already used up. Almost glad I'm injured so the snooze button hasn't become an issue yet!

Day 2 of no crisps and my resolve was hardened when I stood on the scales... bloody hell I'm about 5- 6lbs heavier than I thought I was and I have no doubt that it's all down to the ridiculous amount of crisps I was eating over the past couple of months. I'm also going to add coke to my list :o

Hee hee this thread is funny. Im feeling all smug as Im nearly at the end of day 2 without any diet coke. I think the longest I've ever gone is 1 day before. Its torture though. I was also thinking of giving up chocolate but I just cant do it.

I had my usual withdrawl headache last night but I went to bed and slept it off. I get them every time I try give up diet coke.

Well done you! I should be feeling guilty about not lasting 48 hours without chocolate but the problem is I'm not. Maybe if I felt guilty I might actually stick to the plan. Ah well, tomorrow is another day. I can try again.

christ last night was hard - walking around the house like a lunatic and I actually had a packet of jellies in my hand to scoff as theyre not chocloate ... her indoors said its like a heroin addict changing over to metadone and I was only fooling myself .... she knows me too well as I didn't eat them just to prove a point!!

Weekend coming and if I get over this I reckon I've the back broken of it

Jebas, this no salt thing is tough going! My roast dinner didn't taste right without it - even two glasses of red wine couldn't dampen my lust for salt, especially on the roasties. But much to my familys amazement, I resisted temptation.

This no eating taytos I'm not struggling with as much.

Do you use pepper at all? I used to be the same, salt on everything. Now I dont put it on anything. A great thing to give up so keep it going!
