Rafa gone now surely? Very striking similarites between now and Gerard Houllier's final few games in charge.

Forgot to post in this thread last night.

Benitez won't be sacked. The fans have an obscure loyalty to him, despite the situation he has them in now. (Believe it or not, Hicks and Gilette do not manage the team, Benitez does.)
He won't walk out, because he's stubborn like that, and he'd rather wait to be sacked, since he signed a new contract in the summer, meaning massive ka-ching if they do decide to give him the boot.

And personally, I don't want him sacked. He's doing a good job :pac:

So to summarise, Shane Long is a wanker. :pac:

I'm not going to say what I want to say about him here, cause I'd be banned, but those of you with my facebook will have a fair idea.

I really do hate him now. I don't even think he realises how much of a cnut he's being, he actually seems too thick to realise.

Everything about City really is classless. That light show before the game was embarassing to be fair. A light show for a fcuking Carling Cup semi-final. Good show Citeh.

Not to sound bitter, but we didn't deserve to lose tonight. The penalty was never in a million years a penalty, and the corner which led to the 2nd goal was not a corner. Having said that, Brown and Evans were shambolic.

On the plus side, we saw a flash of the Rooney of old tonight, taking on and beating players. If he plays like he can, it will be absolutely orgasmic to watch. Here's hoping.

The crowd will be up for the 2nd leg, (to paraphrase SAF) no doubt aboot that. I fancy us to mash them. We're due some form, surely...

Anyway, roll on Hull at the weekend. Onwards and upwards.

    News just in...

    BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH

    Citeh! Citeh!

I'm not a huge fan of Tevez (I don't want to go to Utd.'s rivals Liverpool because I have too much respect for Utd. so I'll go to city instead ) But I love him tonight :D

Lol at all the bitter United supporters! If the penalty was at the other end of the pitch ye wouldn't be complaining. 'Tis the luck of the draw. Bit like Moscow '08, unlucky but you get over it:o

EDIT: Wait? Is this two legged?

EDIT: Wait? Is this two legged?

It's not being bitter when City weren't the better team and the calls were clearly wrong. Of course we wouldn't be complaining if we'd gotten it. When does any fan ever complain about a decision they get? Did any French fans complain about Henry's goal being given? No.
It doesn't make it any less unjust.

What have we got to be bitter about? We're only a couple of points behind the leaders in the league, in a cup semi-final, and still in the Champions League.

Anyway, as I said, roll on Hull.

Its coz of your over-use of "If this or that happend"
Coz If his aunt had balls she'd be his uncle.
    It's a over used little phrase :)

EDIT: Does that even make sense?? It's like loads of "if's" can turn something irrelevent. Still dont think if this is literate...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,908 ✭✭✭Daysha

    Lol sorry, couldn't resist :)

Jack of course we wouldn't be complaining if it happened the other end of pitch, Man City would though. We weren't complaining in Moscow either, but Chelsea were because of the Rio scissors kick. 'Tis just the way it works.

In other news, Arsenal are playing Bolton tonight as you know, the second time in 3 days they've faced each other in the league. My question to YOU (yes, you) is when was the last time two teams played consecutive matches against each other in the league?

    Answers on a postcard please.

I'm sure it's on at least one build-up report, just not on the BBC, my only resource!

Damn, Klasnic is on the bench, that's bad for my Fantasy Football team. He's a good striker, it's not his fault the midfield is poor. On the plus side, Crouch is starting for Spurs, leaving Keane in his rightful place on the bench.
