Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Over the course of this past year a number of users on this forum (myself included) have either given stuff away or exchanged stuff (creams, blades etc).

Well I thought it best to create a thread purely for saying what you have on offer and what (if any) you might want in exchange.

  • Moderators, Technology & Internet Moderators, Regional South East Moderators Posts: 28,510 Mod ✭✭✭✭Cabaal

Right here's what I have on offer and what (ideally) I'd like in exchange,

I got a tube of Lider cream in a blue tube from Poland on offer (obviously never used :) ), I'd like say two Blue Bird blades in exchange for it as I'd like to give them a go.

Free to take. It'll cost me to send it out, but meh.. what can you do. Like wallpaper paste, used once. Aloe Vera.

    *Non lathering*

Slightly unsettling way of shaving, stays see through on the skin.

Great idea Cabaal, if I'd known you were interested in Bluebirds I'd have sent some your way.

In fairness I never expressed any interest on any of the threads so you couldn't have known :)

It might be an idea to promote this thread to the top of the forum, sticky it, so that it catches the eye of the passer-by. Just an idea.

    This is a great idea.

I have a couple of barely used Merkurs that were impulse buys and only used once or twice before I developed my addiction to vintage Gillettes.

Would be nice to see them find a good home. Will try and post some pics etc soon.

I have to say they were pretty good. I did a first pass set to 2 on my progress as they were ok. I then notched it up to 4 and I was surprised how smooth and forgiving they were on a more aggressive setting. They are different to Derby's but I would be very surprised if they were made in different factories.
They were a great find and I will be using them again so many thanks for the sample.

I have one more Wars shaving cream tube left for anybody interested.

Cabaal, thanks for the other tube of Blue Lider, I've only returned to find it waiting for me.. and the extra blades thrown in. Cheers.

Not used Lider before, just Wars.

Hey Amalgam, are those blades still available? I'm just getting started having just gotten a murkur and some treets. It'd be good to try some different blades.

Ok lads I got two things up for grabs,

    Parker-91R-Three-Piece-Razor
I got this off shaving.ie previously (priced at 23.95e on the site at the moment).

I don't find it suitable for me so I'll leave it go for 15e and I'll pay shipping within Ireland, I've only used it three times.

It comes with a case as seen in the photos, the case is sadly damaged abit at the back
    IMG_2470pan.jpg

    It comes apart like so
    IMG_2474pan.jpg

    Lider Cream
I have two tubes of this stuff on offer, They've not been used and I won't be using them as I honestly have gone away from creams and I prefer soaps as I find they do a nicer lather and are handier when traveling :)

I'll leave them go for free but I'd prefer perhaps a few blades as a swap, bluebird or those black gillete 7 o clocks would be great :)

That's a lovely looking razor. I like the long slim handle. Never considered Parkers before .... ah no hide the credit card ....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,026 ✭✭✭Amalgam

I bought it for the handle, to be honest. Looks to be a normal 'Gillette thread bolt', most 3 pieces are interchangeable, from the point of view of the handle.

I like that there's no logo or other quirks. My Mühle razor head will be on top of it sometime soon..

Amalgam got the payment for the Parker today and thanks a million for the black Gillete's :)

Hopefully you've received the Parker by now

Cabaal, razor arrived. Cheers. The thread is a Gillette thread, meaning, more or less any 3 piece head can fit on the handle.. and vice versa.

I have the Mühle on it at the moment.

Just over a month old so it's in perfect condition and clean as a whistle.Perfect razor for new and experienced wet shavers and recommended in Mantic59s videos. I will throw in a pack of blades and some shaving samples from Trumpers.

Looking for 32 euro delivered. I have plenty of feedback on adverts.
