yeah they have Celtic v Hapoel ad on the screen since Monday in the left hand corner all day - which I think is a bit over the top. It's not as if the mums who'd be watching double Ricki Lake and rachael ray will exactly be watching the footie

They for some reason must be seeing a Celtic match as being a huge event.

    Any advertising over on TV3?

This match each year seems to swap between RTÉ, TV3 and TG4. It's 3e's first live sport, is poker a sport? (don't think their poker is live)

    3e
The Commission also approved a proposal from TV3 that the licensing status of the 3e service be amended. The service will now be licensed under Section 34, rather than Sections 36 and 41, of the Broadcasting Act 2001. 3e will no longer have a separate contract with the Commission but will be covered by the main terms and conditions of the existing TV3 contract.

3e will be fta on the irish dtt roll out or I am wrong

can the moderators have some ideas on this

One Vision (who currently plan to role out DTT) plan 6 FTV channels with their service I assume that they are BBC 1, BBC 2, UTV, Channel 4, 3e and Setanta Sport. I only assume this since the demise of Channel 6 and that they probably won't be giving us 3Xpose and 3Today which would have made up some of the FTV channels. FTV = Channel will be encrypted and you will need to take out a contract with One Vision for 12months plus have a One Vision STB. (That is my current thinking but I am up for correction)

The FTA channels on DTT provided by RTÉ NL, i.e. you will just need an MPEG4 digital receiver as they won't be encrypted, are RTÉ 1, RTÉ 2, TV3 and TG4 with the possibility of The Irish Film Board Channel, RTÉ 1 Deferred which will time share with Oireachtas TV. This comes from Easy TV's application for DTT commercial muxs.

TV3 just brought 3e under their contract rather than having a separate one for 3e and since TV3 will be part owners of One Vision they will want people to go for the pay option. 3e may not have terrestrial rights for any of their shows but I am sure that programming cross overs on TV3 would remove this problem for them. CSI I am thinking can't be shown on TV3 due to RTÉ being the terrestrial rights holders for the show.

When is the next Soccer match on 3e, I didn't notice any promotions on TV3 for the last one anyone know?

Its quite strange that the follow up show to the Apprentice, 'You're fired' is on tv3 tonight and not 3e. I wouldn't be suprised if monkeys hammering typewriters run the scheduling department

3e are repeating the Apprentice and You're Fired tonight at 10. I think You're Fired should stay on TV3 this year - and if Series 3 comes next year then they can switch it to 3e if they need.

But i'm really surprised that TV3 have continued to show the Xtra Factor and not put it on 3e after the main show.

Good few new shows being shown on 3e anyway last week and this week - new episodes of Supernatural, new series of Shark, True Beauty, Raising the Bar, The Starter Wife, Dexter and Hung. Wonder are the 3pm heart-sob films are doing any good for them during the weekdays.

You're Fired could be repeated tonight on TV3 with the repeat of The Apprenice on 3e tonight. So on Monday night 3e could show You're Fired first. This would allow for cross promotions e.g.

So what really happened this week on The Apprenitice find out on our new 3e show "The Apprentice: You're Fired" on Sky 182 and UPC 106.

So what really happened this week cheak out a repeat of the new 3e show over on TV3 right now, "The Apprentice: You're Fired".

Is it season 1 of Shark, RTÉ One has being showing shark for the past few seasons. And AFAIK The Starter Wife was shown on TG4 last years sometime.

They have picked up the "heart-sob" films with some major show and have a place for them on 3e, they are prob very cheap.
