First day of college.....anyone terrified? *Account of first day*

02-09-2009 09:42PM#1Well maybe this isn't the place for this but was anyone else terrified before their first day of college? I'm probably blowing this completely out of proportion but the thought of it really scares me as opposed to being excited about it.
What if the other kids don't like me? What if they're mean to me? What if they call me names and beat me up for my lunch money?
Well not really but you get my drift, its scary.

You'll be fine, just remember that everyone else is in the exact same boat scared sh1tless as well so there is noting to worry about so be happy. See it as one of the greatest opportunities you can have in life. Make an effort to talk to as many people the first day as possible and it will all be easier after that. The vast majority of people are good, nice people.0 -

Go in there and experience life while the doors of opportunity are still open.
Study like hell, shag like hell and have a blast.

Unless you say or do something wrong...there's a lot riding on this kiddo, one false move and you'll be an outcast...for the rest of your life.
Just make sure you throw/organise a party/night out for you and your classmates in the first few weeks.

Ha ha no not really i know its not the be all and end all.

Tell the rents to go away for the weekend, that your future and their private retirement home fund is riding on this. Then throw a party.
Other than that just invite everyone in your class out for drinks so you can get to know each other, get drunk and have a few teenage pregnancies.
