First day of college.....anyone terrified? Account of first day

Well maybe this isn't the place for this but was anyone else terrified before their first day of college? I'm probably blowing this completely out of proportion but the thought of it really scares me as opposed to being excited about it.

What if the other kids don't like me? What if they're mean to me? What if they call me names and beat me up for my lunch money?

Well not really but you get my drift, its scary.

Get a leather trench-coat, black jeans, some doc boots and a Marilyn Manson t-shirt. Sign up for the rifle/shooting society while wearing all of the above items and make sure plenty of people see you doing it. Pretty much a guarantee noone will mess with you after that.

Well not really but you get my drift, its scary.

You'll be fine, just remember that everyone else is in the exact same boat scared sh1tless as well so there is noting to worry about so be happy. See it as one of the greatest opportunities you can have in life. Make an effort to talk to as many people the first day as possible and it will all be easier after that. The vast majority of people are good, nice people.

Starting in 2 weeks. Not really sunk in yet.

Freshers week in stables is great though. I mean, the acts...they suck...the drinking is great though. A tenner for a pitcher of Coors light...score !

I'm nervous too! Registration next week, so will hopeully meet people there! I'm excited or my course, can't wait to get into the lectures etc, hopeully I'll have a nice class lol. I'd love to get involved with the Student Union etc...

Tell the rents to go away for the weekend, that your future and their private retirement home fund is riding on this. Then throw a party.

Other than that just invite everyone in your class out for drinks so you can get to know each other, get drunk and have a few teenage pregnancies.

Everyone will be in the same boat, so you'll be grand.
