ok guys, prices and location confirmed!

Satuarday 23rd May at AC Car Sales Garage :

15 cars to be remapped at a cost of 280e each. (thats a 70e discount at least)

if we can get 20 deposits then it can be done for 250e but only 15 cars can be done on the Satuarday (other 5 will be arranged and done at a time that suits the car owner and autoremap either before the official day or after)

im not too sure on how to do the money end of things so if people want to pay me the 50e deposit thats no problem, or indeed if people want to pay www.autoremap.ie by paypal, creditcard or similar im sure that can be arranged, just let me know how you want to go about it.

but first 15 deposits gets the Satuarday slots or if another day suits you better, but want to avail of this group buy discount then let me know and we can schedule you with autoremap for a different day. Deposits can be paid by bank transfer or paypal (add 4% for paypal fees)

    any questions, fire away!

@ magown3 - your car requires a replacement chip so that cant be done on the day, but you can still avail of the discount, yours has to be done on a different day, either before the 23rd or after the 23rd, whenever suits to be honest. but to avail of the discount you must give a deposit and book it within a week or 2 of the 23rd if thats ok.

please note we have roughly the same amount of cars from bmw-drivers so first come first served guys.

    Ok Keith, that sounds ok.

Can we not just pay on the day?. It just makes it easier.

    Ok Keith, that sounds ok.

Can we not just pay on the day?. It just makes it easier.

the problem with that, is this guy will be shutting down for the day to carry out our group buy, so lets say nobody turns up or only half the people turn up then 2 things happen :

1-the mapper loses half his work on the busiest day of the week
2-we lose our group buy discount

50e deposit is nothing imo but i understand people can be nervous of sending money to strangers.

so thats why there 2 options :

    1 - send 52e by paypal to remap_day@autoremap.com

2 - you can send 50e by bank transfer to my account (details on request)

    hope that suits everybody :D

I was just going to send you a test email to check that it exists :-) I think autoremap paypal email address sounds like a better idea, although ideally I would prefer to see it directly from their website.

thats no problem at all mate,

    www.autoremap.ie

please send all deposits to remap_day@autoremap.com and please dont forget to add in your username in the details box.
please send 52euro to cover paypal fees.

i will have autoremaps bank account details tonight if people would rather pay by that method. currently 2 members have paid deposits, so 13 places remain for the Satuarday 30th May.

SLIGHT PROBLEM NOW, THE 23rd IS A NO GO

LOOKING LIKE THE 30th MAY NOW, WILL KNOW FOR DEFINATE IN THE NEXT HOUR OR 2.

thats no problem, his name is Martin and his number is 086-6090896.

he is arranging 3 days i think now, so everybody can be accomodated.
may be a few slots this satuarday if your up for it, but all deposits have to be paid before hand to ensure the discount rate.

each car takes about 45 mins he said.

POSTED BY AUTOREMAP OVER ON WWW.BMW-DRIVERS.NET :

Hi Lads sorry about all the messing around on dates. What we can do is do them over a few different days. Maybe some would prefer midweek, some on the weekend. I will suggest a couple of dates maybe people can post which if any suites them best or another that does. On Saturday the 16th max I can do is about 5-6 cars in this short notice, I can't do Saturday the 23rd, on Saturday the 30th I would need a minimum of ten cars if I want the lads in Germany to work on a bank holiday. I can do most days during the week also if anyone would like a midweek map.

Saturday 16th May (max 5-6 cars)

    Midweek 18th to 21st
    Following week 26th to 29th
or sat the 30th (min of 10 cars)

    Martin

    hi lads i drive a 99 civic 1.4? ( dont laugh)

not too familiar with bhp or any of that... just wondering what sort of improvment this would give me?

would i just be better off buying a bigger motor like an accord and getting the remap done?:)

I think my vehicle will be in insurance danger zone. The power to unloaded weight ratio will be almost 50 bhp per ton.

Edit: My everyday vehicle has over 450 bhp/t.

Diesel is the only engine worth mapping really, an Accord diesel would be well worth it.

the only accord that will benefit from a remap, well a tuning box to be more precise is the newer 2.2 CDTi 143bhp diesel version.

also the Type R and the Euro R would benefit from something like a Unichip remap but you need supporting mods like full exhaust system and induction system to make it worthwhile.

what accord are you thinking of next?
