Keith try contact this crowd they might do cheaper

    http://www.chippedire.com/

I heard from other site he is also good. He does remap for gti with increase of 60bhp whereas autoremap does it and its 50bhp extra.
If you ask 1-2 other people someone wil do a good job and cheap.

How many people in total do you have?

i have heard good reports of joe in chipped ire too.
but im still set on using www.autoremap.ie tbh.

where did you get your figures for the GTi remap? from speaking on the UK GTi forums, when i was looking into one, not even the english guys map them to 260bhp on a stage one remap.... 240bhp seems the going rate for the DSG cars and 245-250 for the manual.

i think you'll find that they all give the same gains as each other tbh, even the figures for my car are exactly the same as autoremap.
also, heres the gains for your car from www.chippedire.com

    untitled-8.jpg

PS - if everybody on our list here goes through with it, we have 7 from here and 7 from www.bmw-drivers.net, so 14 in total.

I read it somewhere on line, on one of the remapping company websites. I will find it and post it here soon.

no probs, also dont forget that the GTi engine usually produces 210-220bhp, So after the remap its the increase in power that should be looked at, not just the figures if you know what i mean.

that page pic is from joe's own website so the figures quoted on that are what to expect from chippedire.

I'd be interested in having mine done if it's within the next couple of weeks.
Do you know what gains I can expect for a 2001 Audi S3 (210bhp)?

    210bhp TO 245bhp
    AND
    270Nm to 350Nm torques

would like to get it sorted ASAP, juat waiting for the guys to come back with venue confirmation as power and a broadband connection is required seemly.

How many more bhp will the bmw 118d get from upgrade? My friend wants to find out if its worth it.

Any news on price update? Try bargain to 250. I think you will get more people.
    thats 15 people x 250 = 3750 its good for a few hours work.

i posted his gains a few pages back but iirc there may be 2 different engines in the 118d, im nearly sure theres a newer 141bhp version but im not so sure, could your mate shed some light on this? just found out that in late 2007 a newer 141bhp version is in the 118d which is basically a detuned 320d/120d engine, so im asuming about 35bhp increase and about 50Nm torques increase, well worth it imo

funny you should bring them up as they are a registered trader on www.bmw-drivers.net too

    http://www.bmw-driver.net/forum/showthread.php?t=3251

if you told them who we were using they would more than likely back down,
basically anybody down that neck of the woods goes to them and anybody up on the Dublin side goes to www.autoremap.ie.
they seem to back each other up as in one wouldnt try out quote the other etc etc (well over on bmw-drivers anyway)

i know a small bit about a lot, but not enough to map somebodies car imo :D

I'm going to have to opt out of this, have to nail down an ongoing issue (Fluctuating Idle) with the car before i try to take anymore power from it.

If the date suits, I'd be interested. Vehicle: 02 M-B Sprinter 311 CDi. Various websites seem to think that a remap would take power from 110->140 PS and torque from 270->320 Nm?

guys, anybody think it would be a good idea to get the remap and a dyno run on the same day???

posted by the owner of CDA in Dunboyne :

Summer time and all. I'm organising a Rolling road day for the bmw-driver.net for the Saturday 23rd of May 2009.

70 euro for less than 10 cars. 60 euro each for 10 or more cars. 50 euro each for 15 or more cars.

Find out what difference that exhaust, induction kit / supercharger/turbocharger has made to your car. If this is your first time at a dyno day or Rolling road day, please do not hesitate to email me at nick@couture-auto.com or PM me any of your queries or concerns.

There is now a canteen in the industrial park so tea / sandwiches / breakfasts / lunch can be catered for.

Location and time good for me, I'm in.

BTW, I would need to opt out if the date changed as weekends before and after prebooked. Next possible Sat after 23rd would be the 6th June.
