I might be interested if its below 300 as i wouldnt have that much to spend. Also my friend is also interested

    i have a 07 vw gti and my friend a 09 bmw 118

Let me know where and when its on?

golf goes to about 245bhp with alot of torques
118d goes to about 150bhp with loads of torques, will check the exact figures tonight!

once we have the date fixed i need definates guys, no maybes or ifs and buts, i would imagine the most expensive this will be is 300e (maybe a little less) if everybodies thats intrested goes through with it.

the 118d responds really really well to the remap, 2 guys on the bmw-drivers forum got it done and highly recommend it!
I'd be interested in June if it was below 300 euros.

    SEAT Altea 2.0 Tdi

Where would I get a rolling road done before hand, anywhere on the northside ?

will check your gains tonight man, rolling road on the northside would be mcnamaras in fairview/drumcondra or CDA in dunboyne.
That's a hell of a gain, the E39 530d was the first car I thought off when I read the gains of diesels, easily worth €300 smackers.

yeah all the diesels gains loads, and it will be the best €300~ you'll ever spend on the car, but the 3.0D BMW engine is great, loads of extra power but becaus of its 3.0litre, the torque increase is immense!

ANYBODY WHO IS DEFINATELY INTRESTED, PLEASE COPY AND PAST THIS LIST WITH YOUR DETAILS INTO A NEW POST, ADDING YOUR NAME IF NOT ALREADY ON IT, THANKS. OR INDEED TAKE YOUR NAME OUT IF NOT INTRESTED.

    1. kceire 2005 BMW E90 320d Manual (163bhp)
    2. Celtxx 2001 Vauxhall Omega 2.2DTi (119BHP)
    3. jackncoke Skoda 1.8 T Octavia VRS (180hp)
    4. bazz26 2006 Volvo S40 1.6
    5. TCP/IP 2004 Porsche Boxster S (260Bhp)
    6. magown3 1999 Audi A4 1.9 TDi (110 bhp)
    7. dunkindonuts 2007 VW Golf GTi (200bhp)
    8. dunkindonuts mate 2009 BMW 118d (141bhp approx iirc)
    9. HashSlinging SEAT Altea 2.0 Tdi (140bhp iirc)

going by the current numbers here added to the numbers from bmw-drivers, then i would imagine the cost of this will be max €300, maybe a little less depending on final numbers.

Either the Satuarday or the Monday at a city centre location which will have a car wash available to us if people want it and also the mechanics of the garage in question will be around to offer advice, fit parts or sell parts subject to approval and time/cost etc etc

also we will have a small industrial estate to ourselves, so will be very private and secure.

    how does this sound guys?

VW golf GTi 200bhp to 240bhp and 280Nm to 330Nm torques

BMW 118d - the older 122bhp version gains 33bhp and goes from 280Nm to 330Nm too, but there is a newer 141bhp version of that engine that is not listed yet but i would guess that the gains are the same.

    SEAT Altea 2.0 Tdi 140bhp to 175bhp and 320Nm to 410Nm torques

sorry yeah, he just PM'd me there, it cant be done im afraid. he was saying that they cause alot of problems to the car and its not worth the risk to the owner.

I could get one myself if they would install. Also what Remap (revo, upsolute etc) will be applied to the car.

i dont know yet mate to be honest!

as with the induction kit, it will depend on weather we can get the co-operation of this garage, and if we do im sure they will make themselves available to fit simple mods, but that would have to be between you and the garage on the day, autoremap wont fit it.

but i would imagine that there would be enough of us there that we could fit it ourselves, i'll bring the rachet set just incase.

no listing for it mate, but to be honest i dont think he does it, not many jap cars can be done through this sort of mapping.

No probs, it's a fairly specialised remap from what I heard so might involve a trip across the pond.

Folks, I've been looking at this website http://www.angeltuning.co.uk/

"Angel Tuning can offer their remapping at a discount either for a group of owners at a location of their choice on a certain day or alternatively, if you wish to take advantage of a "Group Purchase" we can do a group of owners at any of our locations as expected but we can also do it mobile to their home or workplace for a small additional outlay to the individual."

    THE DISCOUNT
    2 x Cars 10%
    3-6 cars 20%
    7-10 cars 25%
    11+ cars 33%

I gave Colm in Angle tuning a call (0044 792 1922 190) about getting my Alfa Maped. Anyone else interested? Colm covers all of Ireland - North and South. Angel Tuning have got some seriously good reviews on the Alfa fourm. If we could get a few together and make use of the discount it would be great.

Am I right in thinking that the gains (if any) to a n/a Alfa 156 1.8TS (144bhp) through a remap would be so negligible as to be a complete waste of time?

yes, not worth the money as the gains are too small.

gains of 20bhp and 25Nm torques

My apologies kceire but I thought the purpose of the group purchase was to get the best deal.

Would getting a custom map not be a much better proposition? Especially when it's coming in about €100 less than your quoting? (33% Discount+)

I did not mean to stand on anybody's toes!

I was just trying to get the best deal for myself and my fellow bordies;)

I thought the 170's were a bit problematic as is, I wonder could 210 be a bit much of a strain on it?

no probs, custom remaps will not work on bog standard cars, theres no need for it. by all means start a thread about angels and get a list from there, but im getting my car done with autoremap either way, weather im paying full price of 350e or a discount price if we can get 10 people between here and bmw-drivers then i'll do that.

anyway, the 33% discount applies if you can get 10 cars iirc, but theres only about 5-6 people from here that will go ahead with it, the rest are from bmw-drivers and they wont use angels, Martin in www.autoremap.ie would come with much more rep than them imo

no probs about the toe stepping, i didnt mean to sound like a nasty old school teacher....... now get up there and do 50 lines :D

I'm going to opt out at this stage as being anywhere near Dublin on the June bank holiday is not an option for me.

Cheers for the information and effort though.
