cant find a listing for it on his site mate, sorry.

i will try hammer down a date over on BMW Drivers and let you all know, and see if we can arrange something that suits everybody.
thanks for the intrest, i think we might have about 10-12 cars now.

You'd get good drivability by changing the pulley to a smaller unit on cars that run superchargers.

    I'd imagine 180bhp.

I understand I've the same engine as the VRS, which is 180bhp, but with different tuning, so that would stand to reason. It's the Audi TT engine afaik.

edit: took the sensible option and looked it up on the site. +40 apparently, and torque from 210 to 290.

Gobbledygook to me, but I always liked the sound of it (not least for fuel consumption)

i though the TT engine came in 180bhp and 225bhp models?

gains would be up 40bhp and up 80Nm torques, making your car a different beast with 190bhp and 290Nm torques!

I'm not sure, but the turbos could be different too.

Worth upgrading the braking system too if you plan on high bhp maps.

Depends on the date, I'm planning on buying a 323ci and reckon it would take kindly to some ECU upgrades since there aren't any huge differences between it and the 325ci - if i've sold and purchased in time I'd deffo' be in.

I'd be interested, but his site gives little or no information on what type of remap he does. Is he using off the shelf menu chosen maps, or custom maps? Does he map for specific engine upgrades as well as standard engines? Does he map for the variance of fuel octane across Europe?

I'm interested in a map, and I was going to get one done by MTH as they do all the above, but there's internal problems in the company and they're all but impossible to contact now. If I were to get something done, it would need to be all of the above TBH.

just posted by Martin (Autoremap) over on bmw-drivers

Plus if anyone would like a custom map done ie. take in for certain mods or even an ECO map let me know in advance.

i dont think he will do a 323Ci, as there is very little gains to be made from it!
he just told a guy with an E46 325Ci that the gains are not worth the money you spend, i suppose the honesty is better imo

i would rather him tell me now that you wont gain much instead of simply taking the money and saying something like, "sorry, thats all we could get from her"

What kind of figures would I be looking at for a 106gti? Currently at 120horses and no modifications done.
If it's a decent increase i'm up for it.

My reasoning was the 325ci is (although a different engine) also tuned in the ECU for more power, but I'm sure I could find somewhere to put the €300 - great that he's honest like that! Also, not TDI and no Turbo so it's hardly going to do much anyway... Cheers!

    205 bhp and 310Nm torques (+12bhp & 30Nm)
not such a big gain on the petrol NA cars, but i would imagine the driveability would greatly be improved.

Thanks for the info, but not worth the cash imho. Appreciate the reply.

dont know, cant get onto his site at the moment, but they usually all offer the same gains give or take. is your car the 184bhp model or the 193bhp model?

autoremap usually charge 350 seemly, so i was hopeing with enough we would get it for 250 but that wouls require at least 15 cars, but with 10 we would be paying about 300e too.

im getting it done either way, and i was about to ring and book for the 350 remap but just thought we might save a few quid by doing this, theres also about 5-6 people from bmw-drivers with their names down too.

if its the 184bhp model, then the gains would be +33bhp and +90Nm torques, so you end up with 217bhp and a monsterous 480Nm torques

if its the 193bhp model then you end up with 225bhp and 500Nm torques!!!

also we will have a small industrial estate to ourselves, so will be very private and secure.

let me know what you think.
as soon as we have definate people, not maybe's or anything then we will be giving a definate price if thats ok.

Kceire - do you have a good contact in Autoremap? I just had a look at their site but they don't quote a corsa opc. Be interesting to see if they go to 210-215 bhp like thorneymotosport in uk do before any exhaust upgrades

    A few questions ;)
    What gains am I looking at for a 05 2.0TDI A3?
Its also DSG, so how will this affect it when I'm in S-mode?
I presume S-mode just runs it to higher revs in each gear?
Does he just put a set map in for each type of car or does he actually tune it for each car?
How will you know what the exact difference is pre/post bhp/torque?
Does he have a rolling road?
If he does, can he run 4wd or DSG's on the rolling road?

    standard 140bhp and 320Nm torques
    remapped 175bhp and 365Nm torques

a set map for each car, with safety margins built in and he recommends all users to rolling road their cars afterwards in your own time to check the figures.

you will notice the difference straight away.

    i have a 07 vw gti and my friend a 09 bmw 118

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,411 ✭✭✭HashSlinging

I'd be interested in June if it was below 300 euros.

    SEAT Altea 2.0 Tdi

Where would I get a rolling road done before hand, anywhere on the northside ?

That's a hell of a gain, the E39 530d was the first car I thought off when I read the gains of diesels, easily worth €300 smackers.
