Oh come on...it's all for show!

The X Factor is a soap opera...please dont get sucked into believing dannii was really upset.

99% of the time I would agree with you, but there was no way that was staged. If it was staged Dannii would have started crying the second Louis started to abuse her over "stealing his song". Instead we were greeted after the ad break with Dannii Minogue not even being able to speak in order to introduce Rachel; the audience missed out on what sparked Dannii's tears, which is something Cowell would have wanted the audience to see if it was staged.

Yup, Louis is just actin the bollix as usual, bleedin bully

I was deloyrehhh when Ruth got through :D

was like an early christmas! :)

I hope JLS go next week, bleedin plebs

and hope to god Ruth gets a good rock classic
Even though its been overdone, Alone by Heart would be AMAZO for her

I'd say JLS will do Toxic. seems to be the most guy-friendly Britney song
But I hope they do Womanizer :P

Btw, I was surprised they actual sang "Suicidal" and not "in denial" in their singoff
Like, Leona changed "Coucher" to "chanter" when she did Lady Marmalade

    3 more weeks...............

Danni was playing for the sympathy vote, the song rule the world was passed by Cheryl onto Louis, so thats why he started to get JLS practicing it in Dublin, I'd say Louis is getting fed up of everyone slagging him off even Dermot was taking the P1ss out of him tonight! Glad Ruth was first through, she deserves it, lets hope she makes the final, would love the shoeless scarecrow to be kicked out next week, quite like the rest of them, delighted we finally got rid of Rachel tonight she murdered the take that track although her sing off song was her best performance.

How so? This week Dannii had the definitive first choice thanks to rotation, how could Cheryl pass it on to Louis when Dannii has first dips?

I only saw the results show, so I'm watching the vids on YouTube at the mo.

Ruth was brilliant, I'm surprised Danni managed to find a Take That song to suit her so well. Really really hope she wins.

Alex was very good - I'm warming her to a bit more, she's finally showing some little bits of personality. And her voice keeps getting better.

Diana was a bit of a disaster. At parts you couldn't even hear her, the arrangement just dominated. If she had sang it acousitcally it might have worked, but with the big arrangement it just sounded awful.

Eoghan sounded ok, but wtf was with that godawful routine? Those dancers were creepy!

Rachel - I'm sorry to see her go because she actually sang both her songs well tonight. Those acrobats were bizarre though!!

I didn't bother watching JLS. Never liked them and was hoping Simon would vote against them in the singoff and put it to deadlock. Oh well, hopefully they'll go next week.

If Danni was really upset at Louis, why would she ask him to introduce Rachel?

It's totally staged, and Louis is a rubbish actor because he kept a stupid grin on his face.
And after the Wonder Twins (vomit) performed later, they had a bit of a joke together

it was on the xtra factor, looks like Dannii didn't pick that song for Rachael first, I'd say she had another song in mind, but Rachael being the way she is, probably wanted to do the Take That song she sang, I'm just saying what Louis said last night on the xtra factor.

I almost lost the will to live during Same Difference.
They are look like the spawn of satan.

Glad Rachel went, she has such a chip on her shoulder. Although I am amazed Diana wasn't in the bottom two. How many times have the judges told people to sing how they speak. She doesn't yodel so why does she sing like that.

    JLS= Just lousy singers.

Comical/bemusing moment of the night; Cowell and Take That making a big deal about Eoghan having to hit the high notes. Cue the performance and his so called "high notes" were totally drowned out (or glossed over) by the backing tracking. Cue the judges comments were Cheryl proceeds to tell Eoghan that he totally "nailed those high notes!"

I see Paddy Power is now taking bets on:

First Celebrity to get a ‘quiggy’ hair cut.

David Beckham is favourite at 3/1 if you fancy a flutter.

Louis Walsh is such a little eejit! He's such an embarrassment!
Alexandra and Ruth rocked tonight.:cool:Soooo glad to see Rachel gone!

Delighted Rachel is gone at last. She couldn't take direction or criticism. Everyone else is so grateful to have their make-up and hair done, their clothes styled, the songs picked for them, advice from their mentor etc, whereas she just wanted to do it all her OWN way. If you want to go it alone and be an individual this is the wrong show for you. I doubt she'll be missed by the other contestants as much as some others because she didn't even live in the X factor house with everyone else.

Totally agree. He nearly ruined his own act's chances of getting through at the end by shouting at Simon 'you HAVE to put them through, HAVE to!' I thought Simon might send JLS home and put it to deadlock just to spite him.

You'd rather keep JLS and Diana ahead of Alexandra?

    I find that perplexing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,835 ✭✭✭unreggd

Somethin was a little off with Alexandra this week, and I dont like the way she's preaching about 2havin fun"

Danni was like "you should look like you're enjoying yourself"
and she said "ye know what, I just wanna have FUN [thats why i didnt have fun]"

    Still, she's amazin

and if Ruth isnt in the final I'll go fucckin mental

I hope its JLS or Eoghan and Diana in the bottom 2 the next 2 weeks. No chance they'll send Diana home over JLS and Ewok

Agree, anything by Heart. She needs a real rock song. I really really want Eoghan the Troll to go. He could barely be heard over the backing track last night. He was totally carried by the backing singers, very unfair. If he was mentored by anyone else Simon would've complained about that.
Of course it's pretty much a safe bet that he's going to win
Sick to death of seeing him on newspapers every fecking day.

That's probably true, but in fairness not living with the others was never an option for her...she has like four thousand children to look after at home so she had to balance minding them with being a contestant on the show. I think she was completly the wrong type of singer for the X factor. She has a very niche sound that some will either love or hate, whereas X factor favours (obviously) those who appeal to the mass audience. I suppose you could argue that Rhydian doesn't exactly appeal to all but look how well he's done for himself. In a strange sort of way, I kind of liked her voice though.

Is there any way for us in Ireland to vote for Ruth next week? I'm worried she might go, she doesn't have a home town or city to vote for her, like the others, I think if she's in the bottom two Simon might apply the same logic hed did last night i.e. you've been here twice before vs say Diana therefore your gone.
