I am sick to death of hearing that song 'Angels', hate it. I had sort of discounted Eoin early doors cause I didn't think he had the voice but he has been solid every week and his voice is stronger than I'd given him credit for. I thought his and Alexandra's performance were the best tonight. Diana's sob story to end, please.

And that's why I sunk into my seat when I heard Ruth was going to sing it. Angels has become a song that is a cliche and karaoke and it was made even worse by Brian Friedman, the choreography was infuriating.

Dannii should have given her Total Eclipse, missed opportunity and I hate to say it as she's my favourite, but Ruth is going to be in the bottom two again.

Eoghan - forgettable. Every week I say that same thing, the competition would certainly be fine without him

+1 But no one here seems to think so !

Talent-wise; the competition is Alexandra's to lose. But I accept an earlier comment that she's all the makings of a Diva.
But if you look at it geographically (almost akin to the parochialism of voting of You're A Star); you would have to say then that Eoghan and Diana would have to be fancied given their catchment areas. Too many other contestants from the London area scrapping for the same votes.

There must be someone she's trying to sound like!!

Delores O'Riordan from The Cranberries if you ask me.

I would never have described her as hot, esp this week with the scruffy head on her and face like a smacked backside...and she looks like every teenage girl with backcombed hair and pale lipgloss, abercrombie hoodie and uggs, now with a skirt instead of skinny jeans..she really needs to pick up her game

People are entitled to their opinion, and I respect that, but I think that people are stupid for wanting Diana out. From what I gather, it's nothing to do with the talent she possesses, it's just out and out hatred because she's gimmicky (which I'm willing to admit) but all of them are. I read more people disliking her because of her gimmicks rather then her voice. The first time she sings poorly by her standerds people are calling for her to be axed despite the fact that there are far worse and even more gimmicky characters in the competition. Only proves that it's more hatred to Diana then a dislike to her talent.

Herself, Alexandra and Eoghan are the most talented in the competition and to be perfectly honest I'd rather see it go down to the wire rather then one of the most talented in the competition voted off.

The press she's gotten in the last week has been disgusting as well. How is her laryngitis the fault for Laura. Laura didn't deserve to go and I'm a bit annoyed Louis voted off the better singer for the third week in a row, but it is in no way Diana's fault. She didn't want a bye. She wanted to be there because she knew this kind of crap would happen.

Eoghan is favourite imo. Absolutely faultless and Alexandras lack of capability to show her personality on stage and Diana's recent popularity slump is the difference.

I'll usually factor in the rideability factor into a contestant I mightn't like but she fails at this as well. Please 'great british public' end this tragedy.

I love diana... bit i have noticed a few things about her latley...

    1) The hand thing- its actually starting to bug me now, its getting to the stage im starting to growl when she does it

    2) each week shes losing a bit more of herself, first few weeks hair all over the place, flowerly dresses like a hippy and wore no shoes. Tonight hair was tidier(tho stilla bit messy in its own way) a short dress they sell in new look and big high shoes that she was struggling to walk in(watch the clip of her walking off the stage... hobble hobble hobble)

Agree. She was my initial favourite to win it but people are so fickle. She is different and has presence and brings a different dimension to the competition but people will now turn against her because of all that happened last week. It is a shame. I am not convinced by Eoghan though...what could you do with him if he wins it? I am not sure if he could carry off touring and performing full gigs. His albums would sell well within the younger market, granted but maybe if he gave it a couple of years he would have more of a place in the music scene

No I hate Diana as her voice is forced and sounds terrible.

It's ridiculous because it's completely impossible to put that kind of voice on week in, week out.

I've no problems with you saying that her voice sounds terrible, because it's your opinion, but to say it's forced makes absolutely no sense and you've yet to back up how it's forced.

Where exactly? i thought you only said that people were beginning to hate Diana because of her gimmicks(the hand)rather than her voice...she had a good voice esp in her auditions but its been mangled with way too yelps. She didnt have all those in the auditions, they are overdone at this stage which is a pity, they actually seem to increase week by week, and thats obvious from watching the videos. she's talented but Im worried she is beginning to be over-manufactured..

Maybe its my ears, but to me it seems her basic formula is to sing a line hold the very last note and whack and eeeeeee sound on the end of it.

    My opinion.

Saying she is talented is ridiculous imo.

Edit: Meant to say as well that she shoe horns every song shes had into her voice instead of taking on the piece and reworking it, that to me makes it sound forced.

I don't really think that Diana has a great voice under all the yodelling. So the yodelling covers it up. (While still sounding crap!)

Ruth is certainly very passionate. My husband reckons she is like a female Meatloaf!

Me and my fiance love her, though tonight i was bored, and so was he(hes normally staring at her chest) Angels is just sang so much its boring, and because of her accent she misprounced half the words

I agree- hes getting on my nerves big time, hes not cute at all, his hairs way 2 big. My fella says he looks plastic.Tonight when dermot was announcing Eoghans no and the camera was on Eoghan my fella said"Ahhh look at the big plastic fantastic head on him, im dying to punch him" I laughed!!!My whole familys like "Hes irish ya have to follow him"AH NO!!Just cos im irish im not gonna follow him he blows!!!

Diana - my initial favourite - at least she is quirky and different but I am worried about her safety what with her below par performance tonight and the fact that people will want her out for not singing last week.

I loved her tonight, cos i love that song and she sang it brilliantly, But Im worried too, there have been a lotta vicious stories about her latley and a lotta people have turned against her because of it. Plus shes losing her quirkiness(See my earlier post)
    tobytobe wrote: »
Alexandra - getting better each week. She has more stage presence than Leona ever did in the competition and her voice is getting better and better

If she won id actually be happy- has not had a bad week since the start- i like her a lot

I actually apologise for my first statement btw, turns out I actually didn't respond to the forced on voice in my post like I originally intended to.

The put on bit I don't see how it can be done week in, week out without fail. I've no issue with you disliking it and to be fair to you are actually consistant with your posting of disliking her voice rather then her gimmicks.

Simon summed her up in week one, she's exactly like Marmite.

Sorry Andy, what gimmicks are you refering to? I see gimmicks as dancing girls with Daniel to take focus off his shhiiite dancing....

Just wondering what you in as regards gimmicks and Diana?
