I really don't like Diana, her voice drives me mad! she's like the illegitimate lovechild of Norah Jones and Mr Bean

I was thinkin that cos I could see it when Rachel walked centre stage

But I was like "nah they'd just run out another door or somethin"

    guess not!

Roll on the rumours they were too busy roidin backstage :P

I didn't notice, mainly because I was barely watching it.:pac: But I could have swore I heard Daniel's voice as one of the backing vocals. Strange.....

If X factor is on again next year I hope they ban all the sob stories, I'm sick to death of Daniel. I think he needs a big slap.

Farcical decision last night. Lost all respect for Louis.

Lesson is if you want to progress in the show, just exploit personal tragedies. Very unfair for Scott.

Louis said he'd base his decision solely on the sing-off, and to his credit he did. Daniel sang his song much better than Scott. No doubt Scott is the better performer overall, but Daniel was better when it mattered and Louis stuck to his guns.

I haven't watched the show and i haven't read this thread.. however over the last few weeks i have seen snippets via channel hopping, and i have to say i've never seen such anti talent in my life!!!

I agree so much. the talent is this years contest is incredible. they are 5/6 who all have a real shot of winning. absolutely incredible talent.

I'd just like to jump in on the Diana bashing. She's put across as this unique and special talent when she's anything but. She doesn't have a strong voice and instead puts a quirky spin on numbers which don't require high notes to be hit. I'd have JLS, Laura, Alexandra & Ruth all ahead of her.

Ah come on now Dianas a little dote! Id much rather see her win because shes a breath of fresh air compared to all the drivel we hear on the airwaves today...Also liking Laura and Ruth. I liked rachael at first but i think she's crap now, her performances are mediocre at best. The rest of the competitors arent worth mentioning...

By the way does anyone know where I can find an online video of lastnights sing off? I was working lastnight so missed it on telly.
Iv seen all the individual performances on youtube but havent seen the final sing off where louis cried??? Dying to see it but cant find it anywhere!!! Help!

Yep, I'm really impressed with Rachel, Ruth and Alexandra after last night. Laura I still think is overhyped but she can be awesome if she bloody enunciates! Diana, again, overhyped but can be awesome. She's over doing the quirkiness in her voice.

I didnt like Laura's ego at the results

she basically laughed when her name was called out

it was like she thought "well if Alex and Diana are through, im defo through"

I totally didn't see that at all. She comes across as the most genuinely modest out of all the girls (over 25s included)

Reading way too much into me thinks.

well she went crazy the last 2 weeks

    and she overhyped anyways

I'm not sure whether it was meant to be last week. I think Cowell is saving big acts for the final stages, I read somewhere that Beyonce was earmarked for the final.

2 little snippets of news from Digital Spy.
Mariah Carey will perform her new single 'I Stay In Love' on The X Factor next month.

"Mariah is one of the most successful female artists of all time," a source told The Sun. "It's going to blow Strictly Come Dancing out the water.

"Simon [Cowell] loves Mariah - he's always comparing acts to her. And finally all the compliments have paid off. It's amazing to have such a big name singing on a British talent show."

Carey joins a lineup of singers scheduled to appear on the programme which includes Britney Spears, Will Young and Beyoncé.

Carey will sing on the November 8 show.

Definitely not a fan of Mariah Carey but I'm sure it'll be a ratings winner.
The X Factor hopeful Laura White is in a relationship with one of the show's producers, according to a report in The Sun.

The 21-year-old has reportedly been seeing 38-year-old Mathew Firsht since they met at a March audition for Britain's Got Talent.

Firsht is an executive at Applause Store, the company that organises The X Factor's studio audiences, and is said to have "close links" to Simon Cowell and his fellow judges.

The pair were spotted last week walking arm-in-arm near Firsht's home in Covent Garden, apparently sparking outrage among the other contestants.

"Laura has done her best to keep this a secret as she knows it looks a bit suspect," a source told The Sun. "But some people have found out and have been bitching about it."

I'd imagine that wouldn't go down too well at all, assuming of course it's true. I wouldn't be too trusting of The Sun :)

I dont get why people dont believe papers

Unless its the National Enquirer, do they not legally have to tell the truth?

Technically they do but it costs a hell of a lot of money to sue them for libel, and then you have to prove that you have actually been libelled. Saying that you're dating someone is not really libellous unless of course you're married or something.

LOL, that's a bit naive. There's a reason the tabloids are known as "rags".

Lol @ this comment. Have you not heard of The Sun, The News of The World, Daily Mirror, Daily Sport etc etc. These rags regularly make up stories and then question the subject on the story. When the subject denies the allegation this in turn creates a new story. Its despicable but it's how they operate.

    Ah right

well it was an honest question cos Ive 0% interest in the news!

So is it disco next week ??

Wonder who'll be in the bottom 2 with Daniel nxt week
    Hopefully JLS

Bands should be scrapped from the show

If its back next year the show needs a good revamp, but the fact that the bottom 2 pick their own songs to sing is a step ahead

Dno what to think about the Laura story. I never saw her audition got BGT, and how come she didnt go far / win?

    and 21.... 38

    ihhhhh! :P

Bands should be scrapped from the show. The whole point of being in a band is that you cant sing, and you need to rely on harmonies

The story goes, if The Sun are to be believed (which is a rariety with me), that the guy that she is meant to be seeing, the producer, spotted her an told her not to go any further with BGT and to enter The X Factor. Better exposure for her I guess.
