There'll probably be a queue to sing Alcazar's 'Crying at the Discotheque'

...and Daniel will surely sing 'Spirit in the Sky'?

The fourth live show of The X Factor season features one of the most successful British singers ever to emerge from a TV talent show.
Will Young first found fame in 2002 on ITV1's Pop Idol, The X Factor's sister show (Simon Cowell was one of the judges)!
It's been six years since Will scooped victory, and now promoting his fourth studio album Let It Go, he's heading back to the stage where it all began!
The perennial favourite will be joining this year's hopefuls on Saturday night, and while his new single is bang up-to-date, the 2008 contenders are dusting off their platforms and looking out the lycra as everyone prepares to celebrate disco week.
Singing songs from the seventies always throws up a host of must-see moments.

    Disco Fever This Week :p

i do agree...way too many sob stories. but when you think about it a lot of the people auditioning are only doing so because they need the money and have had tough times..

But that's even more annoying especially when you hear them say things like, "This is my only chance to make a better life for me and my family"

    Eh..no it's not!!! Get a job ya lazy *******!!!

    +1

I'd say it'll be another big year of contract handouts

Usually apart from the winner, someone in 2nd place, or a fav voted out early will get a contract

But last year Leon won, then Rhydian, Niki and Same Difference all got contracts

and Hope got a management deal, they played the RDS with Boyzone a few months back

I cant see someone with a voice like Rachel's not gettin signed, and i think she does deserve the break

I think all the girls are world class [Diana more for bein quirky than vocally strong]

and JLS will prob be successful as they have the whole performance package goin on

Its gna be really hard in a few weeks cos dey'll all be amazin

It sucks that Ruth wont make the final :(
    She's amazin

Video of Louis crying is on the ITV X Factor site, quality is good.
as for last week's show,I can't stop watching Rachel's song on YouTube, thought Ruth,Laura and Alexandra were good too.sick of Simon comparing all the acts to Leona though!
Diana and her hand annoys the hell out of me,don't think she's anything special.
As for the results, well based on the final performance of the bottom two,I think Daniel sang with more passion than Scott and that's what Louis and Cheryl both said they were looking for.though I do think Daniel will go this week.
    Disco Fever!

I'm still not convinced that Diana will be there at the end. I was originally enthusiastic about her but after three weeks she still hasn't struck the right balance in her voice and is over selling the quirkiness in that voice.

I feel Dannii is consistent with her choice of songs then Ruth and Rachel have a good chance of being at least in the top 5.

Disco will play into the hands of Laura, Alexandra, Rachel, and JLS.

Ruth, Austin and Diana should be comfortable with it. They'll be nothing great but whatever they do should put them through if they can keep it together.

Eoghan and Daniel to have problems.

I'm not usually a fan of the sob stories in anyway shape or form however TBF to Daniel its not exactly the usual crap. Like he'd have to be one calous bastard to say his wife died in childbirth to get onto the show.

The others though make me sick, Bloody rachel just cause she was a druggie and had a couple of kids. and as for the otherone saying she was doing it for her "TOWN" that had a few suisides.

for some reason i'm after watching the last couple of years of this show when I went nowhere near anything like it before.

Well Rachel doesnt really need a sob story cos her voice is amazing

Laura, Alexandra, Rachel & Ruth have the strongest voices in the show

    Diana has her quirkiness

Then there's Austin, who's good, but not amazing, or original
But im sure he'll get the votes from schoolgirls

And Eoghan and JLS are just Meh IMO

If anyone comes out with that it should be an automatic eviction IMO. Don't even put it to a public vote.

:D It would be the single most cringe worthy moment in X Factor if Daniel sings it. There's really little he can do.

    ****SPOILERS-DISCO SONG CHOICES****
    Alexandra Burke On The Radio
Austin Drage Wishing On A Star
Daniel Evans Don't Leave Me This Way
    Rachel Hylton Lost In Music
JLS Working My Way Back To You
Ruth Lorenzo No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)
Eoghan Quigg Could It Be Magic
    Diana Vickers Call Me
    Laura White Somebody Else's Guy

    http://xfactor.itv.com/stories/story-detail/item_100318.htm

Daniel's performance is going to be absolutely classic car crash TV. Don't Leave Me This Way? Very apt choice of song given the likely chance he is going home tonight with a cringe worthy final performance.

And what's the deal with Drage's song? As far as I know that's not a disco song, or am I wrong?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,835 ✭✭✭unreggd

Yeah, its more like a Xmas song :P

In general the songs aint very disco

Think Diana & Alexandra got the better choices

    Rachel was super crap.

Diane's song was rubbish - it was a disco song, she sat nearly through the whole thing. Rachel was rubbsh as was Austin. What has happened to David's hair?

These songs aren't very disco. I'm actually sick of the song choices - they are all really corny year after year.

Thought Diana for the first time did an excellent job. And surprisingly, the performance by Daniel has probably been his most in tune performance so far, that's not saying much though.:pac:

    Diana, crap again, so annoying.

Daniel, just go home now please.

Yep, have to say I've completely changed my opinion of Diana. Sick of her now....I'm so fickle :)

Rachel was brutal and Austin is boring.

Liked Laura though despite Simon basically telling her she's fat.

I didn't enjoy it tbh, and I actually think she has put a little weight on lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,835 ✭✭✭unreggd

Stop callin her fat, she's skinny! self-concious people, blah blah blah [/sarcasm]

I thought Diana was great, she's been the most "disco" by a mile

Dno why they had her in giant shoes though, cos she was sittin down

But in general all the song choices this week are crap

Its crazy that every season, every show [bar specific artists], they've endless amounts of songs to pick from, and they end up pickin crap that doesnt suit their voice

Eoghan sucks. He sucked last week and he sucks this week. But, they'll probably say he's wonderful for whatever bloody reason.

    HE'S CRAP!

He told her that her image is all over the place (subtlety suggesting that she's fat).
