there's nothing better than being in a college lab and waiting til your mates go out to the toilet/shop and then taking a print screen of their desktop and set as desktop and auto hide taskbar.

or (this is a beaut that i came up with).

go start >> find >> search for *.exe and then ctrl+a and hit enter :D

Probably looks like your screen. But it's hidden. So you'll think it's frozen. At a guess.

Download a program called clippy.exe. It's great fun especially if you have about 10 instances of it running at once.

    it's funny though.

the second one is worst, it finds all .exe files and executes them all at the same time completely melting the pc.

on a completely unrelated note just been watching these, they are cool:

You remember our old friend clippy from office 97, well it imitates him. Once it's ran it will pop up (you specify the delay) and give the user helpful (read: useless) advice. It's a work of genius.

I had a really odd conversation in Sao Paolo with a Swiss girl about Old English Literature. She loved it too.

Define old though? You talking Beowulf or what? Cos that stuff's cool. If fascinatingly crude and limited. Read the Táin and see the differences between that culture and even the Graeco-Roman culture that arose in the Med.

    Really??
I did that, wasn't too taken by it.
The middle english stuff was alright but the old wasn't for me.

Still, got through in the end.

Same ethnic group as the Angles and the Saxons who mosied on over to the island to our east in the aftermath of the Western Roman Empire's collapse.

Shakespearian would be middle english i think, old english would be high medieval period and before.

To all of the above comments.. I haven't done much Old English before, only really focused on medieval up until now.

Just to clarify, from my understanding, Old English is the likes of Beowulf.

Medieval is like the Canterbury Tales - it's older than old English.

Shakespearean, (as mentioned by Teutorix) is the most recent of the three.

Unless I've missed something vital in my course :p

I'll dig up some medieval for yiz to look at (assuming some of you nerds would like to see):)
