I actually enjoyed it, but it was way, WAY too short - and whoever put the sailing in deserves a bitchslap. I still think Metroid Prime and Super Smash Bros Melee are the best games on the GameCube.

Metroid was great. Windwaker was too Linear, It told you where you needed to go next unlike Ocarina et al.

I was thinking we were sliding off topic there but we're not...Its a nerdy convo.

That reminds me, I still haven't got my hands on Metroid Prime 3 on Wii... but I'm trying to make sure that I'm not addicted to a game when I go back to college!

I also spent 4years in Westmeath!

Imagine this is some twlight-zone moment where I'm actually talking to myself
by way of time-travel. Now my time travel device would not be some unrealistic gaget from Back To The Future or the like...no. My Vehicle would be mostly made using the technology used in the file Primer.

Funny I got that game for Christmas. Played it once. Never got into it and it remains on the shelf. Funny considering I adored Metroid Prime on Gamecube.

    I don't know if I qualify as a nerd.

I have a degree in philosophy, am going back to college to do a post-grad in psychology this year. I watch Stargate and Star Trek and all that kinda stuff, I read at least two books a week, but I don't read comic books or play video games and I know nothing at all about computers or anything sciency

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,958 ✭✭✭DenMan

Same here orestes. I read quite a lot (sci fi/fantasy/horror/psychology/ancient civilisations/politics), love sci fi shows (Star Trek/Stargate/X Files). Also love the CSI's and The Law and Order shows are brilliant. Have next to little trouble with technical issues (electronics/pc related). Handy enough as it saves a lot of technician call outs. Huge fan of The Lord of the Rings and really enjoy writing and using 3-D Studio Max and Avid (for work). Does that make me a nerd? The thing is when I was in school for some reason I was never a nerd. Seemed to be stuck in the middle and had a few friends from all sides. I seem to be drawn to people who are outside the box, social outcasts. Maybe because I am one myself? Maybe we all are? Not sure.

It's cool to be a nerd. See I finally said it.

I'm much the same Orestes, don't play many games like that, Zelda was a fine exception to the rule. Haven't a clue about computers/technology etc.. I've done psychology and philosophy too. Guess we're just 'cool nerds'.

Oh... I also like vampire stuff!! :D Is that nerdish?

Finallya chance to use my 3 year film degree! :D

It's when two things are shown beside each other for comparison.

It's when two things are shown beside each other for comparison.

When two unlikely things are placed together, like an angel and a devil. Or a waterfall in a desert.

Kinda like in that aerosmith song when he says: "your love is sweet misery"

Sweet = good, misery = bad. But they're together in this context!

    If ya follow Animan...
