I'm very nerdy. People in school used to refer to me as 'The Dictionary' because whenever they wanted the definition of a word they would ask me. :o

Possibly because I spent 90% of my childhood reading. I realized when I started collecting magazines about Charles Dickens that I had really stepped into nerd territory. I'm also a bit of a band fan girl, I tend to get obsessed with bands and know everything about them. :D

Ah well, life's too short to try and be cool. I'm sure I'll end up as a millionaire with a hot trophy wife, as all nerds do!;)

    Relatively nerdish alright. ;)

I don't think I'm nerdy really come to think of it.

Apart from posting on an internet forum (only boards.ie really) which some would perceive as nerdy I'm rather un-nerdy.

I did a degree in a science discipline but I've forgotten most of it now.

    That's about it.

Meh, I play a lot of video games. Well not so many at the moment, I'm technically on a break. :pac:

But yeah, gamer type, that's quite nerdy. Also the whole love of history lark is quite nerdish too.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand trinary, those who don't and those that confuse it for binary.

The first thing I did when I got my ps3 is install a new hard drive and I'm now looking at putting linux on it. Yeah, that's not nerdy at all.

Why do lecturers always use that one? Nevermind 4th years, when I was in 1st year more than one said it, way to help students calm down and settle down!:pac:

Nuts... same with us. Started off with about 300, halved by christmas - 150, halved in 2nd year - 75. Then about 30 - 35 dropped out between then and 4th year. There was i think 38 graduates this year from CA :eek:

will need to check numbers properly though. either way a paltry amount

    *Nods head* Damn.

I'll be happy with a 2.2, that's the minimum required to be able to be eligible for a Masters in my course.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 19,183 ✭✭✭✭Will

I'm debating whether to do a masters or not, see how I do this year then maybe go for the forensic computing course.

I'm not sure either, I'll definitely be working for 2/3 years before I even think of doing one. It's a lot of monay to do one!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 19,183 ✭✭✭✭Will

Bah just whip out... a loan and pay it back over time, or just do the masters part time. Jumping ahead of myself, "computers refuse to understand how I am feeling today" (points for guessing the band) hence I hate working with them

just get a grant to do it or do one that is funded already. I've applied to the ircset for a phd, dunno if I'll get it though
